Loving it after 9-10 months
Last Thanksgiving I broke the door spring on my ancient oven (it was in the house when I bought it, 25+ years ago). Yes, it could have been fixed, but it had annoying quirks that I had lived with long enough!. This was my dream stove, the beginning of a long-awaited kitchen update. I had it installed in January. I love the double oven, and the griddle stays on the stove top nearly all the time. The seasoning on the griddle suffers when I flip it over to use the grill grate (mmmm, grilled pork chops night before last, delicious!), but I rarely have problems with my pancakes even then. I find it easy to clean, and just use a bit of baking soda and elbow grease when there is discoloration. But heck, it's a stove, I don't expect it to look like it is still in a showroom after a year. Now this is nothing to do with the stove, but more information for those, like me, who bought an older home and don't know what to expect when trying to update things. My gas line into the kitchen hadn't been touched EVER! It was up to the code in effect in 1949, and the plumber I called to install the new stove couldn't install it until the valve was updated, which also involved some of the piping. All very correct, it wouldn't have been safe or even legal for him to have done otherwise. But I hadn't budgeted for that, and I was serving beans for a few weeks after the work was done. Plan ahead! One downer. I have one burner on the stove top that has to be lit manually. It has never lit just from the sparker. That burner also is the weakest flame, good for a simmer but not to bring anything up to a boil. That's okay, I have four other burners to work with. I've just never had a stove with a simmer burner before.

Absolutely lovED this oven. Until it broke just outside the warranty, then again...STAY AWAY
This oven truely does it all and it looks fantastic. Couldnt be happier with it, well for the first 13 months anyway. Just outside the warranty period and I got an error message. I called GE but they said it was outside the warranty period. I called a local appliance company, he replaced the main panel and it worked for 5 months. Then the same error came back. He came out and replaced it again. Well, it just happened again. Aside from the cost of the unit, the expensive part and labor I am now without a stove for the THANKSGIVING holiday. the company is aware of this issue and releasing an update panel but thats another $300 plus labor and its on back order AND who knows hoe long that will last. This is the last GE product I will ever buy.

Buyer Beware
Updated review: I have loved using this range - I cook a lot - until just recently. All of a sudden, lots of things are going wrong. I am just past the 1 year warranty. I did not buy the extended warranty. Problems.... first, the bottom oven light burned out, now the top oven light will come on at strange times and it won't always turn off when I push the button, also, the bottom oven has started taking FOREVER to preheat, and lastly, the "shut door" message is coming on for the upper oven and the door is shut. After giving this range a 5 star rating, I'm changing it to a 1 star. Here's why. I want to shout loud and clear, "Buyer Beware". I've now seen online that others are having major issues with this range, issues that are very expensive to resolve, and negative experiences with GE customer service. I hope I'll be able to revise this rating, but I'm very concerned about where my experience is headed.Former Review: Here are many things I love about this gas range! It is so nice having two ovens - wow! I also like the 5 burners (btu range is great - from high heat down to a simmer), and the griddle option in the middle is a nice addition. The top is easy to clean (so much better than the glass top on my older KitchenAid gas range). This range looks great in our kitchen - very sleek, high quality. Love it! The only thing that I don't like are the small gaps in the very back between the range and the counter top - other reviewers have mentioned this. It just seems like a weird design element. Other than that, I am really happy with this purchase. BTW, we did have to convert the range from natural gas to propane. Even though we are big DIYers, it was pain and was time consuming. Glad that part's done.Update (4/18/15) I continue to feel that this is a 5 star purchase. Using two ovens at once has been fabulous - I love being able to roast vegetables in one oven and bake another dish in the other. And again, as I mentioned before, the stainless steel top is so easy to clean and maintain, as long as you don't mind moving the burners and griddle to the side to wipe off the stainless (the burners and griddle are heavy duty, so they have some weight, but I don't mind this). I just used the griddle for the first time this morning - I cooked three pancakes at a time, and it worked great. Highly recommend this range!
