Repeated Problems
The lights are nice to light a SMALL area when you dont have an outlet nearby. However, I have been through three solar panels in two years. The first panel lasted a little less than one year. The second panel lasted one day; the third panel didn't work at all! Needless to say I didnt bother with a fourth one! I cant speak for the transformer-based set, but as for the solar powered set, stay away!
