Giants of The Dawnland: Ancient Wabanaki Tales

This is a lovely little collection of stories about Gluskape and the giants mostly from Silas Rand's "Legends of the Micmacs" and Charles Leland's "Algonquin Legends of New England" which are both in the public domain. That said the stories are retold here and the language modernized into flowing prose. The original works are very academic, outsider viewpoint, and in general much less fun to read.
