Great dvd for all fitness levels...
I have had such great results so far with this workout dvd... I paired it with the eating plan for the 21 day fix and joined their online community and found an awesome online coach ( I didn't feel the automatically assigned coach was a good fit for me) through the site. I was not in good shape at all when I first started. Im not done with the complete 21 days the first program has but I'm definitely stronger and leaner and starting to lose inches. I don't get bored with the workouts and I find that they are challenging but with the modified moves they show how to do I could start out without feeling like I'd never be able to finish.Form is key for doing Piyo and the first workout teaches proper form... I have hurt my back 3 times in the last year because I did not know how to do proper form for doing things in everyday life and actually had to do physical therapy to strengthen my core, Chalene does a great job of stressing proper form throughout the workouts and really makes you feel good while doing the exercises.I'm so proud of myself for now being able to do if not all most of the videos included for the first 21 days... Then I will start the strength portion for another 21 days.

I've had back surgery and I love this series!
I love this system. I haven't finished the series yet but so far this system is wonderful. I've had back surgery and my spine is fused from T3-L2 so I am always modifying any yoga or pilates moves however this series requires minimal modifications on my part. I am able to move freely to my ability, get a great workout, and have yet to encounter a move sequence that I am unable to perform. The workout is great. It's also helped me to actually get a workout for my back muscles that are so sensitive.The more you push yourself mentally, whether it's reaching through your fingers or feeling the stretch and working with it, the better your workout will be. Chalene explains the moves and motions very well, although some seem awkward the first time through, because you've never done the pose before, the second time through it's not awkward. I also like to watch any workout before I do it so I can know where I'll have to be careful and Chalene's explanations and directions are very easy to understand and follow. I love the combination of stretching mixed with strength. This is a great workout for any body.

Great workouts, learning curve to get the poses/flexibility down
Guys perspective:Only on week 2 but thought I'd give an initial impression. Overall its a great workout routine. Ranges from 15-45 min once a day. You will definitely sweat! This is great for cardio and supplementing weight-loss (along with a balance diet which is always the biggest impact on weight loss). You will not get "ripped" with this but definitely toned.Hardest part is learning the poses properly as yoga is at the core. She shows how to modify things which is nice but it can be frustrating to not be able to do things properly or not be flexible enough but again thats more of a mental thing.Overall happy with it so far, doing it with my wife. If you need a low impact routine I would definitely recommend this but not to anyone with wrist problems or injuries as it is a lot of strain on the wrists from all the different poses!

PiYo the perfect fit for me!!
Was hesitant to buy based on varied reviews-people either loved or hated it.I am 50 and an intermediate to advanced excerciseer with a huge collection of workout DVDs-I loved this for an end of the day workout as it is great toning as well as relaxing and I actually look forward to it when I come home tired and stressed from work.I would not consider it a stand alone workout plan for weight loss but something to add on to weight lifting and cardio as it is more relaxing and a feel good workout as opposed to a drenched in sweat routine.You do feel it in your muscles though and I do feel stretched out and toned after.It is also easy on the joints which I need now that I'm 50-so glad I purchased and I rely on it to end my day feeling like I was productive,rather then lie on the couch when I get home.I hated Turbo Jam as it moved way too fast but PiYo is something I find challenging at times but doable-I look forward to each workout rather then dread it!!

Just what I wanted!
Ordered and received this about 3 weeks ago and I am quite pleased with it. I have had problems for many years with my wrists, shoulder, knee and lower back and can't do the other more strenuous exercised that beachbody offers. This is just what I was looking for.There are some things that are difficult for me but I think it will improve in time. In the 3 weeks I have been using it, I have regained a good bit of range of motion in my left shoulder and it has relieved most of the pain and tingling in my legs due to sciatic nerve damage. I have no expectations of ever having a body like the ladies in the video so I don't think I'm going to be disappointed with my purchase later on. If you are very athletic and active and are looking for an intense workout, this is not for you.This is better suited to people who are new to exercise, people with injuries that limit intensity of exercise, older people, etc. As others have said, Chalene does talk a lot but it really doesn't bother me that much. It suits my needs just fine.

Disappointing at best
Just not that great. Gimmicky. Way too much time spent in plank position with limited instruction on how to place shoulders. This could lead to shoulder problems, especially if you are not ideal weight and haven't done any strength training.Do not expect to lose much body fat using this program. It depends heavily on dramatically reducing calories but there is little caloric burn in the workouts. Chalene's TurboFire program is much better if you are looking for fat loss. Disappointed in this program.

Didn't get extra DVDs
I did not get the bonus disks and when I contacted Beachbody through Amazon.com, I was instructed to call Amazon to return/exchange. Honestly, I have been waiting for this workout video for so long that I did not want to miss another week or two to exchange it. If I had not ordered the Deluxe kit, I would give this 5 stars. I love the workout. I am going to borrow the extra DVDs from a friend. Kind of disappointing but to be fair, I did not try to exchange it after I heard back from Beachbody. This is the only reason I'm giving 3 star rating - all of the Beachbody workouts that I have done have been fantastic!

Works great to get back in shape or in shape for the first time. Slowly works you up to killer cardio (but not too slowly and you can modify to slow it down more).Fun and energetic. These videos are a great way to start out on your way to being fit.

Great Exercise !
Excellent low impact exercises. More of a workout than I expected.My physiotherapist recommended it and we gave it a try.We are really happy with it.
