For the price it’s a great buy. It cast smooth, reels is smooth and can handle some nice size fish no issues with the drag either. It’s super quiet as well. Definitely looking to get more of them in different sizes to see what else it can handle from pan fish to big cats

The media could not be loaded. I have four of these identical reels. I can't even guess how many stripers I've caught with them, easily over 1,000. I regularly maintain and abuse my equipment. These reels have been battle tested and have won. My only complaint is the knob breaks off the handle on all of them in the exact same spot as noted in the picture. The drag washers could be improved as well, but for under $40, it's a good reel.

Before winter became too much of a problem I used this reel several times with 14lb fluorocarbon line. Once I got it dialed in it had good casting range and is very smooth on retrieve. I had a couple of times when I thought I heard an odd noise when first turning the handle after the cast, but it did not cause a problem. I did have a problem with the handle right out of the box. The knob had a lot of play on the handle lever so it wobbled. I finally decided that this should be corrected and made the reel not feel as good overall as it should. I first tried to contact Sougayilang via the email address on the website I found. I discovered this did not work so I found a different email address in the info sheet that came with the reel. That is the "real" support address and a woman responded very quickly. I sent her a short video and description of the issue and she promptly sent me a new one, which was fine and made a huge difference. Not only that, she offered some handle options if I was interested, and some of them were more expensive than the original. I am impressed with Sougayilang customer service! So I would give the reel a 4.5 star at least, but that service pushed it to 5.

Functions like I expected, but the quality is very poor. As the other user had mentioned about the reel handle, I can tell it’s going to break soon. Out of the packaging the knob on the handle was wiggling and loose. This is the weakest point on the reel and I can see it not lasting too much longer.. good for the price but I wouldn’t purchase this again.

Purchased in Oct 2024, fish this bait caster October and November, may15 2025 first day fluke season and I notice handle is very loose, spoke with top shelf fishing supply store locally, “handles busted” needs to be replaced, about $40. Reel cost $41. I reached to Amazon got standard response past return date, I purchased extended warranty their response, it is less than one year old still under manufacture’s warranty. They provide email address. I reach out not once but three times, No Response. Two weeks ago on top of handle which will not tightened, spool release is not releasing. So now two major issues. Contacted Amazon again, same response, go to manufacturer.Sent another email before noon today No Response. Google searched corporate office, No Telephone Number At All, not customer service, not corporate executive, nothing.I rate this product a3, good reel, but the manufacturer/corporate a Negative 2!!!, Combined less than 1, less than one.I will never buy from this manufacturer again!!!Ken Berkman, Long Island, NY, 06-30-2025.

So far this reel is a great bang for my buck. I've used it one time it can cast a wacky rig worm no weight. which not easy for most baitcasters. The drag is very smooth and knobs for spool control is as well.the handle is sturdy and well designed. the color is a show stopper. just need a 7 lb large mouth bass to test guts of this reel. when I catch one pics and and a follow up. 🤪 This is a great product.....I recommend it for all type fisherman. I bought this reel intending on steelhead drift fishing, because I noticed someone who purchased this reel left a review with a picture of a salmon he caught with this reel. I haven't caught one fish with it and it's got a grinding in the gears. I haven't used but a 12 gram float with 9 grams of weight and it shouldn't be acting up.

Wow, this combo kicks BUTT! It put s a spin caster to shame. With a 1/2 oz. weight I could cast over 80 feet and hit my targets with pretty good accuracy. I was pulling in fish when no one else was.PS I also looked at some of the high ended cost reels. And their constructions were equal in quality but not price.Highly recommended.
