GorillaGlides CB253 1 Inch Chair Sliders/Furniture Glide Floor Protectors (Set of 8 Glides) Self-Adhesive Screw-On Glides, for Sliding on Hard Surface Floors and Low-Pile Carpet, Round

Bought these to put under the legs of an ottoman that was sitting on carpet. It was hard to scoot the ottoman around to make it comfortable to have legs up. The ottoman came with tiny button-like acrylic things that were supposedly to make it easier to move the ottoman around, but they were so tiny (about 1 inch or even a little smaller), that they scraped into the carpet. The legs of our ottoman are about 2 inches square, so we bought the 2 inch glides. These work amazingly! So easy to move the ottoman around and the chair is super comfortable to use now. Love that they screw in (which is what we did) so that they won't come off. And the screws are sturdy ones. We were testing these glides before buying another set for the other ottoman, and since they work so well, we are buying another set. Wish they were a couple of dollars cheaper.

I used these on my ice chest to keep it off whatever hot surface it might rest on in order to help the ice last longer. Only time will tell as to the longevity and durability but I can imagine that they will last for quite some time. They feel like a fairly solid product for the task I'm using it for.

I have some dining room chairs that needed glides to prevent marking the floor. I used a number of glides that slip over the bottom of the feet - none of them worked very well. As those glides aged, they would loosen and then slip off. The GorillaGlides are attached to the chair using small screws, and the glides are fairly invisible when installed. Because they are attached using screws (included with the glides) some care is required in positioning and drilling the holes in the chair legs. I can see where that step could go wrong, if the drill bit is not well centered or the hole is drilled at an angle.

Popped these on quickly and they have not budged. Had them for a few months. Chairs glide smoothly.

The 2"D nylon Gorilla furniture sliders included 3 hardware attachment options using adhesive, single or triple screws. I used the triple screws to attach the black plastic base to furniture feet, then snaped the gray slider cap onto the base for a secure fit. The option to use 3 screws versus the single screw will hopefully distribute shear stresses on my heavy furniture for longer sliding stability. The plastic/nylon seem to be a good quality for wear resistance.

I was excited to know that these had the capability to screw into the chair legs because my chair legs already had holes in the bottom. However, the holes were bigger than the screws that came with these. Therefore I had to stick these to the bottom of the chair legs. Some of the gliders came off after the first use.

I needed to replace the sliders on our porch chairs because moisture accumulated under the plastic sleeves and caused the wooden legs to darken and get mildew. The chairs had a hollow center, so i knew i would not be able to use the screw application that comes with the Gorilla Glides, but was hopeful (and a bit skeptical) that the adhesive application would work. I bought a 16 pack and adhered with the adhesive and after a couple of months of daily use, the glides are still on and still sliding brilliantly. I liked them so much I purchased a few more packs to finish the porch chairs and to replace the sleeves on the bar stools we have. Great product.

I first reviewed these Gorilla Glides chair feet in April, two months ago, finding that they just wouldn’t stay stuck to the chair legs, which makes ‘em useless at least to me; but I gave ‘em two stars rating instead of one ‘cause they seemed to glide fairly well over our tile floor considering the coarse, unglazed surface of our tile. You can see that original review following/below.However, now in June 2021, two months later, I’ve tried some other chair feet/glides, of the kind that have an embedded thin nail to hold the feet in place. I supplemented the nail attachment with some Duco cement, and am now fairly optimistic that those feet will stay attached in place. But, even more importantly here, those feet/glides with the nails as I used happen also to have teflon glide surfaces, instead of whatever different plastic foot is on these Gorillas. And wow, those teflon feet glide way, way better on our tile floor than these Gorillas do, despite the coarseness of the floor tile surface. In other words, these Gorilla Glides not only don’t stick to the chair legs, they also glide very poorly on the floor, certainly compared to the teflon glides.And to really rub it in, these Gorillas, which do nothing well, cost more than two times as much as the nail+teflon glides, which seem to do everything well.So again, after all, these Gorilla Glides don’t do anything well. Therefore now hereby demoted from 2 stars to 1 star.—— here below is my original 2-star review of these Gorilla Glides ———— from 2 months ago, April 2021 ——We wanted feet for our traditional hardwood dining chairs that would allow them to better glide over our unglazed, therefore coarse-surfaced tile floor. And we didn’t want to compromise the wooden chair legs by driving screws or nails up into their ends.We figured these Gorilla glides should be good, especially for the stick-on part of the job, ‘cause Gorilla has such a big rep. in the glue and adhesives business. And they cost twice as much as the competition, which we stupidly fantasized signaled a premium quality product. So we got ‘em.The good news is that they do the gliding part of the job fairly well, not great, but, like I said, our tile floors are coarse-surfaced, intentionally, to prevent people from slipping and falling, so these Gorilla glides might be as good as it gets with respect to gliding on/over the floor. Whether the Gorilla glide surface is reasonably durable or is going to wear down and through with continued use is a separate question - and one to which we will likely never know the answer because ...The bad news is that these Gorilla glides just don’t and won’t stay stuck in place with the adhesive on the bottom/end of the chair leg, even after scrupulously cleaning and prepping the chair leg ends, won’t stay even for a few dinners’ worth of very light use. I keep trying to shove ‘em back to the middle/center of the chair leg, it’s hard work, but they just keep sliding back out of place, clearly gonna’ slide right off as soon as I quit tending them, re-placing (forcefully re-positioning) them every few days.So I hereby give up on trying to make these Gorilla glides work. Not yet certain what I’m gonna’ do instead. I might experiment with other supposedly really good, strong adhesives, see if any of them can keep these Gorilla feet in place on the chair legs. Or maybe I’ll bite the bullet and try some glide feet that use a single very slender, thin nail (plus adhesive) to keep each glide in place.Meanwhile, to these Gorilla glides that only work at all as long as you laboriously re-work ‘em every few days, I give 2 stars.And, I just noticed, Gorilla has just stopped selling their 1.25-inch diameter glide here, the size I bought and want and need. Certainly not that I want them anyway at this point, but they’re really putting the nails in the coffin here.

Purchased these gliders for our dining chairs, they work very smoothly on hardware floors. I am a senior, a “senior” senior, was having trouble getting chairs close enough to the table for eating or any other task, these gliders get me to the proper distance from any table without being too smooth that they could become dangerous. My highest recommendation,

The solution to making a heavy bedding box mobile without damaging the carpet. Easily fitted and inexpensive.

Excellent protection for floors and carpets. Fitted with screws on wooden chairs. Highly recommend
