This piece of kit is brilliant - how come I only just found it when I have been battling for years with stripping bits of wire for routine diy electrical jobs ?? A definite must have even if you are only needing to rewire or change a plug.Very simple to use and works perfectly every time - I am female and do odd bits of basic electrics around the house, so the less fiddly the job the better, and this tool fits the bill. Very solidly made, so I feel it should last well.

Excellent little strippers that save time when dealing with lots of wire. Need some adjustment with the nut on the back for smaller or very large wire, but great once dialled in.

Good product, well designed and sturdy. Easy to use in tight spaces. Saved me having to pay a sparky arm and leg.

Needed to prepare a cable for a new plug as it wasn't a moulded type. Safer than using a blade and made the job much quicker and safer.

Effective and a useful time saver. Good value too.I used it for both flex and cable stripping.

QUALITY AND USEFULL

Given my entry level knowledge please take this review as that of a complete novice to such a tool.First impression of the product was middling – the packaging was stapled low grade plastic with a sheet of high gloss card inserted – the overall feel of a "value house" product.The feel of the tool is also fairly "meh" with a significantly plastic feel and very few metallic elements.There were no instructions included to explain the use of the tool's various dials and measurement elements.When I used it for the first few times I was purely guessing and I’m really glad I had a whole shed load of basic 14 gauge cable as if I was working on an existing cable, I might have ended up losing a bit of it due to the odd way the tool seems to behave.If you have no idea how these things work, I would recommend just sticking with the classic and effective sharp knife/scalpel/stanley etc – they will make light work of something like this.I wouldn't recommend the product – before I had thought it would make light work of the task I had of stripping multiple lengths of speaker cables, but in the end it’s proven less effective and more problematic than my usual approach.Perhaps this is just a poor version of this kind of tool.

Good quality product worked as it should and is very easy to use
