Fixed my split nail
My thumb nail split clean down the middle vertically. Needed something to hold it together while it grew out. So far this stuff is working. The adhesive is poor but I put a lil glue on the nail first, followed by the silk, then a lil more glue.Nails are not my thing. I know little about nail care, but this stuff is doing what I need.

Didn't Work; Waste of Money!
I could not get these to work for the life of me. I tried them with regular polish, nail glue and uv base coat. They just would not stick. The second they got wet they started lifting. They almost stuck better before applying the polish. Also the edge kept fraying, getting tiny pieces of sticky cloth all over the place. It was an absolute mess! Absolutely do not waste your money on these. There are other products in a similar price range that will actually work.

Buys time for a low cracked nail as a bandage!
This works ok as ‘nail bandage’ it’s not visually pleasing and hard to cut and you have to have separate nail glue and filing/buffing tools to smooth things out; but it holds up. Great for the split very low nails to allow them to grow out a bit before cutting, as will be needed. Beats a daily elastic bandage around the low split nail! Not pretty, but it’s tough enough for normal hand activity. And well repairs the crack so as not to get stuck on clothing or in hair to cause a potential big rip-off-of nail ouch. I’d give higher rating if product easier to use. The separation of the tape from the adhesive backing before gluing is kinda a pain, as is cutting it to size for needs. Once applied, it is very durable and does the job well!

What’s great when you split a nail and you don’t want to cut it off
This is great for when you side split a nail, but not made for a nail that has been completely torn off. This one is really good because it has an adhesive backing. Some of them don’t, but this one did and I’m glad I ordered it! I lined up my split now as best I could, then you take a piece of the product that you have cut to a proper shape peel off the backing and place it on the nail, put the glue on the nail and then file it smoothly. That’s how I did it. I also used a buffer too.

Don't even try
Not a good product. I should have read reviews more carefully. It doesn't stick as well as needed in oder to get the glue to create a nice thin layer. Also it's not transparent once the glue is on like other silk wrap products. I will be returning this and buying my old brand.

Works amazing.
Works well. Definitely makes your nail stronger and can patch it up with color on top of it. Is definitely a 2 person job tho. Don’t try to do it on your own.

Difficult to Place, Does Not Cure Clear
This product is on the right, the left is the Supernail self adhesive tabs. For both thumbs I used peel off base gel on my natural nail, then applied the silk wrap and brushed over it with builder gel. This product did not really respond to the weight of the gel or the residual stickiness of the the base gel, so it was hard to shape it to the curve of my nail bed and set it long enough to cure. There is adhesive on one side but it's not strong enough to keep the silk in place.Aside from the fabric being stiff it also seems slightly thicker, requiring more product to fully coat.If you top with opaque polish and don't mind the extra time it takes, technically this product can do what's its marketed for. But I prefer the completely clear finish of the Supernail wraps so I don't have to top with polish if I don't want to. Plus the Supernail wraps are just easier to apply and set long enough to cure.I would say it's worth the extra couple bucks to just get the Supernail wraps.
