Top notch company and the dash cam is pretty good too.😊
We love our Pormido dash cam! We did have some difficulty after installing with the screen, jumping and then becoming unresponsive. We were heartbroken. We have a sprinter van, and this really helps to see the traffic behind us when we travel. We reached out to the company that makes this dash cam and they were more than responsive. I have never worked with such a thorough company before in my existence. Even though there was a time difference between our conversations due to the fact that they are located in China they did not let that get in the way of helping us resolve this issue in the long run, the mirror needed to be replaced we were under our one year warranty. They sent us a new mirror and SD card. This new mirror is working flawlessly both with the cigarette lighter power cord and the hardwire kit we are so excited to have this fixed. We are going on a trip here soon and this will be so important to have working.

Day 1 use works as intended, 4 months later, bought 2 more for my other cars
I ordered this because the two previous dash cams I had crapped out on me after 2 years on one, and 3 years on another. We'll see how long this one lasts. I anticipate it lasting much longer because I can stick the cameras in locations that are not in direct sunlight, which is a plus.Pros:* 3 channel support* When the mirror is powered off, it can be used as a normal mirror during the day. Much harder to see reflections at night though.* Has GPS so I have a compass and displays my speed as well. All that data is transferred into the video as well.* It records on all 3 channels no matter what display you have on. The SD card file hierarchy is easy to navigate and find the video pertaining to either the front, rear or inside camera.* Plenty of tape and cable to wire everything up.* Has a one year warranty. I bought the 3 year Amazon warranty just in case ($33).* Touch screen mirror is easy to operate and can allow all 3 cameras to be displayed at once.* Mirror can also playback video on the spot.Cons:* Powered only by a cigarette lighter adapter. It would be nice to have a USB adapter so I can try adding my powerbank inline to keep it running when the car is off. EDIT: I was told that is may not be possible. I will research further to find a way to get either a powerbank or another 12v battery in line to accomplish this. I don't like the idea of my main battery continuing to power this. During my installation, I had the cameras on, so it must of been for about 15-20 minutes, maybe more. In the end, my car had a noticeably harder time starting up again which tells me that there may be a significant drain on the batter if left on too long. Other dashcams gave 1 star reviews for draining their batteries even with a hardware kit.* The mirror is bright even at the lowest setting when driving at night. Other drivers will be able to see it while driving at night, kind of like how you see kids watching dvds in minivans.* Too much cables. Granted there are 3 cameras, which means there are 3 cable inputs, but with all the cables, it becomes a big mess concentrated around your rear view mirror. I used electrical tape to at least compress most of it. My only concern would be how much the cables can withstand direct sunlight throughout the day. It would be nice to have cables the exact length needed, especially the cable for the front camera and the GPS module.First day use, works great. When I received it, I powered it up with all cameras and it worked just fine. My biggest concern was if all 3 cameras were recording or if only what was displayed on the mirror was recording. Gladly, it was all 3 recording. It has locking file capability, like when it detects a crash or bump. It also has rear view guides, which I turned off because my car already has that. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. I will see if it can stand the test of time.If this breaks before my warranty is up, this review will be edited.Update 12/09/22:. Still working great. Bought two more sets. One for my wife and another for my new truck. I also got a bass pro shop 12 v battery that I rigged up with a battery box to use it for parking monitoring so it won't drain my car battery.Another pro I didn't mention is that the rear view shows cars in the adjacent lanes. They pretty much show up on the blind spot.Picture taken is in my F150. I managed to stuff the extra cables in to hide them. Looks great now.I should also mention, customer service has been great with me. There is a thing where you register your product, they will email you back to ensure you are satisfied and they will give you one of 4 things, suction cup holder, hardware kit, extended rear camera cable or telescoping charging cord.

Really impressive image quality and easy installation
This is my second Pormido unit that I have purchased and installed, and I continue to be blown away by the image quality and increased driving safety this provides. I have had their 2-camera unit installed for more than a year in my RV, and just installed the 3 camera unit with GPS into my 2012 Subaru Outback.I think that any car, and especially vans or RV, greatly benefit from the improved rear view. The field of view is really wide - which helps when backing up in parking lots or at the stores. The touchscreen allows the driver to easily enlarge or focus the view, and to look more "up" or "down" depending on your preference. The night vision is maybe the best reason to get this unit - as the display almost makes it look like daylight. I have attached a picture which gives a sense of how bright the display is, when the outside lighting is dim. Moreover, the unit dims headlights so I can see cars and other details, rather than being blinded by headlights. No more flipping the rearview mirror at night to avoid the glare of headlights behind my car.I am truly impressed by the sharpness of the cameras and the display. It's a gorgeous display - lots of pixels and a crisp image. On my Subaru, the rear camera is mounted inside the rear window which allows me to use the the rear wiper (and windshield washer fluid) to keep that clean even when the back of the Subaru is caked in dirt from winter driving. It's easy for the driver to switch from between cameras - from the rear to the front to the inside camera. I have not hooked up the inside camera in my Subaru - but I intend to do that now that summer is here. I haul a lot of stuff in my Subaru- and sometimes have the tailgate open to do that. I can use the inside camera to look rearwards and still give me a true rearview even when the hatchback is open. The unit is set up to record to an SD card. I often leave the unit activated in my RV when it is parked. This at least gives me some level of proof if someone tampers with the RV. And of course, it gives good evidence if you ever get in a crash. The GPS is a nice addition, as it not only provides an on-screen driving direction (e.g. N, NE, E) but it also lets me set alarm limits when the camera pings me if I am going too fast. My only complaint is that the limits are set at values that end in a "5" (e.g. 45, 55, 65, 75, 85) and I prefer to sometimes set it at 60, 70, or 80. Minor issue.I'll finish with the ideas that for a lot of drivers, I think this unit adds to driving safety. Older cars, that lack many of the safety features in new cars, will benefit from the expanded rear view when in tight quarters or congested traffic. Virtually all drivers - whether inexperienced or getting towards the end of their driving days - will likely enjoy the greater visibility and comfort of seeing more behind the vehicle. I wish all cars came with this as a standard device. But once you've installed one of these, it's hard to go back to the rear view mirror that is largely unchanged since it was first installed in a car 1911.
