Works as advertised

The screw needs a washer or a bearing to sit on. The head that holds the arms on fell off. And it can still work. But metal or some kind of shavings fall off from use with no bearing. But otherwise its easy to use and good size to fit in my closet. Only using it to work on like 3 transmissions. But fall apart on the 1st transmission like the 3ed use. Still usable. If anything I can upgrade the screw and nut on mine.

Works excellent on 4l60E input drum and reverse drum. Doesn't damage spring cages like some of the other tools

Product is decently built, works well as it’s intended. Was able to compress that big spring in the 42RLE drum no problem. And has a good veriety of adjustments. Highly recommend for a diy-er and the at home builder.

Light duty trash, I guess its fine if you're repairing something tiny that has zero torque capacity, but this thing is worthless for actual transmission rebuilding. To start the welds look absolutely god awful, there is a ridiculous amount of play between the upright pole and the arm holding the spring depressor arms. There is zero reinforcement at the front of the legs, the spring compressor arms are comically small, and the threads look like they were cut by a drunken monkey. Absolute piece of garbage, whoever designed this should be fired and barred from ever designing anything again. This is utter garbage and I want my money back.

This universal press works great and many different transmissions if your a trans builder like myself and it’s a good price for a simple effective tool I’d buy it again seems to be made well so far

Build quality is cheap- welds look a bit suspect. Bends easily and is overall too small. In the pics is the CDF drum for a 10-speed transmission. Had to rest the cylinder on a wooden block because the base is too small. Works for internal springs, but the external spring doesnt work- the arms do not spread apart enough to reach the spring.Cumbersome, small, flimsy. But it is dirt cheap, and I did manage to finish the job. Expect to get creative when using this, because it doesnt really fit modern transmission clutch drums. Would be much better if the whole thing was 25% bigger.
