Turn on the car engine and the phone connects wirelessly to the Parrot CK3100 Car Kit. The screen unit has easy-to-navigate menu options just like your phone, and your mobile phone book is wirelessly downloaded to the car kit. Calls can be dialed either through the screen, or by using voice-recognition speed dialing. According to your phone's model and firmware, most features are accessible from the hands free console, including one-touch redial, dual call, and auto-answer. Parrot ck3100 review
This product does what it says but, ah yes the but, it has a few little bugs that keep me from scoring it higher First off it was'nt to bad to install with the custom wiring harness- that cost extra. The wiring harness is quite bulky & that equats to making room for it where there was very little room to begin with. On the other hand u don't have to cut factory wires. I've only had the unit installed for a couple of weeks. I've noticed after training voice commands they only work sometimes. Volume is turned up all the way on it & seems to be adequet. Noisy rear speakers were a problem when getting calls because they did'nt mute all the way. After switching a pair of wires that was suggested by tech support the rear speakers mute completely which is much better but I still have a minor crackling sound in the rear speakers. Also when u start up & shut down your vehicle before u start it again u have to wait for the Parrot ck3100 to shut down completely or it won't connect. I've had it do a couple of weird things, I think do to the extreme cold we've had. but all in all it does work..... so far. It's installed in a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the RB1 nav radio. This is an amplified radio.

Bluetooth at its best!
I found the Parrot hands free bluetooth equipment was easy to use, had a good quality sound depending upon the radio it is hooked to and a easy way to dial using the voice command in your cell phone's address book. You can easily manipulate and see your phone book in the LCD screen using the center knob of the Parrot; whenyou see the name you push the center knob and your call is accomplished. The only negative was the installation. It must be done by a professional. I now have a parrot installed in each automobile. I love the convenience of having a hands-free instrument and not having to go against the law in my state.

So glad we chose this!
We love our Parrot! We installed it ourselves using the harness specific to our truck from quickconnect dot com, and that was worth every penny! Think it cost around $65 or so, but it was cheaper than paying someone else to do it, and it gave us a perfect installation. Took about 30 minutes to install. Instructions aren't perfect, but they are good enough that you can figure out what to do. Hint: follow the instructions that come with the harness. At first glance, they seem not so clear, but slow down and read them carefully, and notice that various wires on the harness are actually labeled; then it becomes a piece of cake. When we buy a different car one day, we can just get a different harness and then install the Parrot on that car.Although I never actually heard any other hands-free devices, I did a lot of comparison shopping online, and feel like we made an excellent choice.

Better than I thought it would be
This is even better than I thought it would be. The cities around me are going hands free and I didn't want to pay $500 for a dealer to put a hands free unit in my Tacoma. Took a while to sync my Asus phone but it finally did and I'm happy I decided on the Parrot CK3100. Only took a couple of seconds to load my contacts. Callers tell me call quality is good so I'm happy.

ONLY BLUETOOTH TO GET FOR THE CAR
I tried all the bluetooth units for the car with the visor clips. They all were bad. Problem is the sound was too low when you start driving on the highway. The worst one was the Motorola 325. I was actually holding it up to my ear to hear the unit with the volume all the way up. This parrot unit connects into the car stereo and is fabulous. It plays loud all the time. I just set the volume at about 3/4 level ( don't set it higher , since it will play so loud as to distort. You have to be deaf to set it more than 3/4 of the way up), and leave it be. At 3/4 volume it is enough for city stop and go driving & is also a good level for highway driving. The ringer is loud & clear, and everyone says they don't even know I am not on the cellphone. I had best buy hook it up for only $80 AND I DID NOT EVEN BUY IT FROM THEM . I GOT THE BEST PRICE ON AMAZON FOR THE UNIT. Took the installer about 2 hours to install since I have a great car stereo and he had to trace out the wiring AND HE HAD TO WIRE A LONG RUN TO THE REAR SPEAKERS . THE WAY THE HOOKUP WORKS IS THAT THE CAR STEREO IS MUTED WHEN YOU GET A CALL & THE PARROT IS CONNECTED WHEN YOU GET A CALL, AND THE UNIT THEN CUTS OUT THE REAR SPEAKERS AND THE SOUND FOR THE PHONE CALL COMES THROUGH THE FRONT SPEAKERS ONLY. THE INSTALLER did a great job. And go to BEST BUY, since he told me that if I ever need to have it taken out of the vehicle, it will be at no cost to me . And of course, they guarantee the installation. The unit works flawless with my Sprint Vero phone. I will never buy any visor type units again. I even tried the Blue Ant, which is supposed to be the best, and I was disappointed with the volume levels. YOu just have to get the unit hard wired through the head unit . A word of caution. Make sure to get the wiring harness to connect to the head unit, because if you don't the installer will have a lot more work to do . The wiring harness unit is specific to your vehicle. CRUTHFIELD HAS THE HARNESS FOR ALL MAKES AND MODELS. GET THE REP ON THE PHONE AND TELL HIM WHICH CAR YOU HAVE. HE MAKES IT EASY TO ORDER. WITHOUT THIS WIRING HARNESS THE INSTALLER would have to connect a countless amount of wires , and my installer said it would have taken a lot more time to install. He was in heaven when I produced the wiring harness !! See, this parrot has the foreign din connections, and you just have to get the wiring harness that easily plugs into your specific head unit. Got it from Crutchfield. It was only $29 plus shipping from Crutchfield. If you get it from Parrot it will be about $60. No need to pay that price. Crutchfield is very reasonable. IT TOOK ME ABOUT ONE WEEK BEFORE I GOT THE PARROT FROM AMAZON & THE HARNESS , BUT BELIEVE ME, IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. I RAN TO BEST BUY & COULD NOT WAIT TO GET IT INSTALLED. ALSO BEST BUY LET ME WATCH THE INSTALLATION & I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT INSTALLATIONS. MAKE SURE THE INSTALLER INSTALLS THE WIRING ON THE "OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE "POWER LINE" FOR ANY AMPS YOU MIGHT HAVE. THIS WILL AVOID ANY KIND OF HUM OR NOISE FROM THE ALTERNATOR. MY INSTALLER AT BEST BUY ALREADY KNEW THAT , I WAS HAPPY THAT I HAD A GREAT INSTALLER.

Great Product
I have 3 of these devices (1 professionally installed and 2 installed personally). All units work very well. The voice dial feature is excellent. I have also had a Motorola bluetooth car kit and the Parrot works much better than the Moto kit. I have these units working with a Blackberry and a Treo with no issues. I would recommend these to anyone. My only issue was the self-install is very complex. I would only recommend self install to those accustomed to car electronics installations.

Keeping my wife and grand kids alive.
I bought this for my wife's car because the one that was already in there wouldn't sync with a Galaxy S3, though it was the same model. It installed easily and helps my wife to keep the car out of a ditch while talking on the phone. Now, if only I could teach her to use cruise control.

Great product
Really good product. Easy to use but sometimes struggles with voice recognition if I'm on the motorway (my car is quite loud). Voice quality during calls is good. I have just buy a new phone so had to check the websites compatibility list and pick from that: so you could say it's a little restrictive in that sense.

Parrot CK3100 Advanced Bluetooth Car Kit
I have put three of these Parrot CK3100 Advanced Bluetooth Car Kit in different cars, and I must say they are excellent. It never ceases to amaze me how so many people drive expensive cars and don't have one of these. The cost of one of these is only slightly more than the fine for holding your phone and a whole lot safer. They are simple to fit with the most difficult parts being routing the wire for the mic, easy if you put it on the steering column or hard if you put it up by the mirror. And fitting the Parrot box in behind the radio. but the wires are long so this can go some distance from the radio, I normally take the glove box out and put it behind there. some radios require an adapter and maybe a mounting bracket but these are readily avaliable.

Parrot CK-3100; excellent kit & a doddle to install
It's pretty much all been said in other reviews, but the Parrot CK-3100 is excellent and good value for an easy-fit, in-car phone solution.Install to ISO wiring is a doddle as the kit simply connects in-between your cars wiring loom and existing ICE unit; no other mucking around with finding a power source, earth connections etc; simple plug-n-play.The main control box could be awkward to find a home for in some vehicles, but shouldn't be a huge problem as there's plenty of cable length to facilitate install well inside the dash. Install in a Renault Scenic took about 1.5 hours to make sure everything safely secured and tidy.Pairing of the phones was straight-forward and the contacts lists simply sync to the CK-3100; each pair up pretty quick and ready to run in under a minute.Ease of operation and good quality audio, both in-coming and out-going.Overall the CK-3100 is a simple to install and operate bluetooth car-kit that does the job and offeres very good value for what it does and how it works. Is worthy of four and half stars, but there's no option for this in review, hence the four star rating. On a scale of 1-10, rated 9.(PS: Radio mute option on most Renault branded ICE is mute terminal 3, plus you need to reverse the permanent and switched 12v feeds by swapping on fuse holders).
