Lucero LC100CE Acoustic-Electric Cutaway Classical Guitar Natural
A**!
nice tone. no tuner, battery impossible to change. not worth the hassle.
Has nice tone. But replacing the the 9v battery is impossible. Its only accessible from inside the sound hole and requires working blind and I practically had to rip out the battery because the snaps were so tight! I tried to remove it from the top - its under the volume control.... No dice. I probably should have returned it. No built in tuner either. Wait for a better design. Don't make the same mistake I did. I does sound really nice but I'm annoyed at myself for ignoring such flaws.

Good Low Budget classical guitar WITH preamp.
REVIEW FOR: "Lucero LC100CE"--------------PROS-Great finish on the guitar-Hardware seems okay for the price.-tuning seems stable.-Has electronics at a low price-Nice rosette for the price----------------CONS--Frets sticking out a bit-Preamp isn't the best (but at this price, you can't ask for more truthfully)-I have read a couple of reviews where the guitar was dropped or shipped and the neck cracked....so just be careful with it you should be okay....this basically goes for all guitars though, but odd to read 2 reviews where the neck broke off.-Laminate top, sides, back.---------------------BOTTOM LINE--Don't expect high end features in a low budget guitar.-For the price you're getting a lot of bang for buck.-AND its got a preamp!-Play one at your local guitar shop before you buy one and if you like it more than the other classicals, then buy it.

This is the reason my "nicer" guitars are collecting dust...
I have been playing for 30 years, all styles, all types. I bought one of these on a whim at GuitarCenter circa 2007. I also own Gibsons, Guilds, Taylors, Fenders, you name it. They're all collecting dust in the basement right now. This one is always within reach.I will not say that this is necessarily the best *sounding* guitar I own. It's urethane finish, not particularly amazing in terms of frequency response, not a whole lot of room-filling projection. The piezo pickup is reliable, but otherwise unremarkable. Now, here's the thing: the negatives stop there. Everything else is 10 stars out of 5. Just crazy. This thing is effortless to play, and I always come back home to this one for some reason. It just fits my hand like a glove. It's build quality is superb (the flipside of not having a lot of projection). The fret board feels like home. When you plug it in with a fresh set of strings and add a little reverb, compression, EQ, maybe throw it in front of a tube preamp, you can't tell me it was only about $200.There are very few things in this world that offer as much value as this instrument does to me. This is why I am taking the time to write this review.

It's a gorgeous guitar that sounds pretty good to me (just an amateur)
Surprisingly well-made. I got this from my local Guitar Center, so I don't know about shipping, but I was surprised by the quality of the guitar given the price. It's a gorgeous guitar that sounds pretty good to me (just an amateur), and once you break it in and fix any buzzing by tightening the screws on the pre-amp, it's great to play. Seems sturdy and resistant to scratches.
