Saved my hands! (Get this one, not the wireless version)
I've used a wired Evolulent 4 for years. Saved me from carpal tunnel. I can't recommend this mouse too highly. When my 4 eventually died (after about 6 years), I tried both this model and also the Anker, This one is way better than the Anker, and is worth the extra money. It's comfortable in the hand, has plenty of buttons and programmability, and tracks well (I do use a mouse pad). Also, the verticality of this mouse is more ergonomic than the Anker's more horizontal hand position. (Let your hands dangle at your side. Raise up your right arm. That's the angle your hand should be at---as if you were shaking hands.)Compared to the Evoluent 4, this one looks a bit better but is functionally similar. I like the larger lip on this model and it's slightly more curved, but I can't say that I vastly prefer one shape over the other. If you have a 4, I wouldn't bother to upgrade if that's what you had in mind, but if you've never experienced an Evoluent mouse, get this one.I also tried the wireless version, which is miserable. It wouldn't track at all (trying several mouse pads), and was so frustrating to use that I returned it. This wired version works flawlessly, however.

Works well but wrong angle
The mouse works well, I love the three buttons and the action of the buttons. Unfortunately the angle is wrong for my wrist and it makes my arm hurt.

Fairly comfortable, fairly expensive
My old mouse was starting to hurt my wrist, so I figured I needed to upgrade to something with better ergonomics. I've had experience with a Logitech mouse where you control the cursor with a thumb-controlled trackball. The Evoluent is not of the trackball cursor type. A product suggestion: create a product that incorporates a touchpad where the thumb rests to control the cursor. If you reach your arm forward and point with your index, that is basically the shape your hand will make when cradling this mouse.I can tell the VerticalMouse C puts less of a strain on my wrist. I think this is because of the way the Evoluent keeps the wrist in a less tense / more stationary natural position. Slides easily across different surfaces. Avoid irregular surfaces as the mouse stops recognizing movement after a mm or two height difference. One thing I am having an issue with is the mouse wheel is beginning to make noise after less than a month of use. I was surprised that for nearly $100 the product appears cheaply made. The plastic feels pretty thin and could probably be upgraded to a more sturdy type, and maybe textured in some way to give your fingers more grip on the buttons. I suppose it's no worse quality than a typical run of the mill computer mouse. Look at the bright side I guess, it's definitely not heavy!PS. Amazon is trying to confuse us dumb Americans with a "Sheerness" rating in the product reviews. Don't let them do it to you! Especially when sheerness has nothing to do with a computer mouse.. ot does it?!Please hit this review is Helpful if you agree or disagree!Sheerness:The property of being sheerThe state or quality of being steepFineness or intricacy of texture or structureUsage of sheerness more related to a product review:The materials used in construction were the same but the coverage was not, resulting in increased sheerness. High quality ergonomic mouse
* the mouse feels pretty good in hand, seems to be durable and is light* the movement is on point, no hiccups* wrist is in more upright position that many other vertical mice which feels really natural and comfortable* thumb rest is high compared to mice I had before which supports more natural position* separate middle button instead of clicking on small scroll wheel is addictive for me* clicking on the lowest button needs a bit of practice (it requires to start using ring finger) and took me some time to get used to it* thumb buttons are easily accessible and I like them more then two buttons next to each other above the thumb (those require more thumb stretching back and forth)* benefits of the Evoluent application:* functions of all buttons can be remapped, so you can create a setup that suites you the most* option to turn on eye comfort mode to adjust brightness of the screen with mouse wheel (with some key pressed)* support 'hyper-scrolling' - it means that the sensitivity of scrolling adjust with speed of scrolling the wheel (this is another addictive feature for me)
