Subnautica: Below Zero - PlayStation 4

Great immersion game

My kid wanted this play for a couple day. Then was bored.

As someone who loves a good survival game, I was excited to try out Subnautica: Below Zero for PlayStation 4. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.The game takes place on a frozen alien planet, where you play as a scientist trying to uncover the truth behind a mysterious research facility. As you explore the icy depths of the planet's underwater biomes, you'll encounter a variety of sea creatures and collect resources to help you survive.One of the standout features of Subnautica: Below Zero is its stunning graphics. The frozen landscapes and colorful marine life are a feast for the eyes, and the game's atmospheric soundtrack adds to the immersive experience.The gameplay itself is challenging but rewarding. You'll need to manage your oxygen supply, hunger, and thirst, while also avoiding or defending yourself against dangerous creatures. But as you gather resources and upgrade your equipment, you'll gain the tools necessary to explore deeper and uncover the secrets of the planet.Another aspect I appreciate is the game's focus on environmental storytelling. Through audio logs, abandoned bases, and other clues, you'll uncover the tragic history of the planet and its inhabitants.Overall, Subnautica: Below Zero for PlayStation 4 is a fantastic addition to the survival game genre. A good successor to the massively popular Subnautica. It has a few bugs like fishes populating inside the base and crashing when trying to save, but it is nothing to worry about. You will sink countless hours into the game.

It’s a very good game good graphics and a ton of gameplay comes with it

... No. But if you played and loved the original like we did, you're going to want to pick this one up. The graphics are great, and of course the world is beautiful... But what the game lacks is a compelling storyline. In the first one, you are the reluctant inhabitant, a lone survivor of your ship crashing into an alien world. In this one, you voluntarily go down there to look for your sister. I mean... I guess? We still had fun with this one, but without the novelty of the alien world of the first game, the storyline is really where this game needed to deliver, and it felt like an afterthought.

Dexterity is amazing. Compared to the first one, they allow you to adjust settings of gameplay, such as turning on/off oxygen, hunger, material requirements etc. You can tailor with your imagination. Honestly, I don't have alot of time for full survival and I also didn't want to play full creative mode either. This is a pleasant suprise as no one mentions this anywhere.Map is amazing. It is smaller than previous, but no less complete.Story and Ending is soo good. I don't want to give any spoilers but the ending is amazing
