Simply amazing!
This would an amazing value at double the price. I was skeptical but ordered anyway figuring there would be some compromises which I was willing to accept to get a solid wood guitar at a price this low. Boy - was I wrong. It was packaged securely in a double corrugated overbox around the normal factory box and UPS got it here with no visible damage outside. After opening and removing the guitar from the foam bag it was packaged in, I just sat there looking at it and smiling. The fit and finish are excellent. After letting it sit to warm up for about 90 minutes, I removed the string protector paper and the D'Addario tag and inspected it again. The strings were tuned down for shipping (which is smart and I appreciated that). The guitar action is nice and low and doesn't even need a setup. I wiped down the strings, tuned, stretched and re-tuned the strings. and started playing. It sounds terrific, feels great, and looks fantastic. One small nitpick would be there is no front strap button, but that's an easy addition. Overall I couldn't be happier - I like it so much that for this price I'm seriously considering getting another one just to have around. There really isn't any good comparison I can make - this is an amazing intermediate guitar for less $ than many bad starter sets. For someone buying a first guitar, they could spend twice as much and still get a much inferior instrument. The next closest solid wood guitar I know of would be the Masterbilt at about 675.... so stop reading and buy this. They won't last long at this price!

It's well worth the price for a beginner or even an intermediate player.
I couldn't really find too many reviews on this before I purchased it, so here are my initial impressions after a couple weeks of playing this guitar. The initial set up was not the best. The strings were incredibly low and buzzed on most of the frets. I had to adjust the truss rod and the saddle a little, and the 12th fret under the E string wasn't seated completely. I'm still dialing in the set up, but it's very playable now with good action. The satin finish looks great, and it feels good on the neck of the guitar. It has a very stripped-down, basic look, but it has really grown on me.As far as the sound goes, it has great volume/projection and has a pretty well-balanced sound to it. The strings that were included sounded kind of tinny, so I replaced those with some extra-light phosphor bronze Martins. It's well worth the price for a beginner or even an intermediate player.

Ehh, it’s ok, I’ll keep it.
I rate it 4 star because it is built nicely and very playable. Nice that it’s all solid but it doesn’t sound like it. I have other all solid guitar and this one just doesn’t compare. Doesn’t have good volume, doesn’t have great sustain, does have good clarity. I’ll change the strings to my preference and see how that affects the sound. Too much bracing on the back may be effecting the sound. The finish is really thick and heavy. Just not shiny. Still it’s a good solid guitar.Update: I just changed the strings and after day acclimating to the climate the sound has changed dramatically. Much more volume, much more bass... really nice.

my first guitar but i love it for years
Mine was a used one found in 2nd hand instrument store. I personally like deep, round, and gentle sound comparing to a lot of guitars that has bright and crispy sound. I tried several that day, within the price range i prepared, this is the most expesive one but i cant choose any others in the store after listen to this sound. it has been 3 years and i still very happy with my choice that day, so beautiful. The look of it seems simple and clean so i dont want to add any decorations to break this simple even a pick guard. the neck adjustment need to be done through the sound hole thar cost patient, string is a little higher to me as a beginner but after a week of hard practicing, i can do a barre now.overall, i love it very much.
