Sauder Coral Cape Bookcase/Book Shelf, Satin Gold Finish

Super sturdy, and has little gel pads to put on the bottom of the glass to protect It from the metal. The blue bottoms are so cute. It did take me about an hour to put It together but I’m no bob the builder.

i got this book case on sale which was nice. i love the glass look and this is great quality. not sure how i feel about the gold tho, it looks….okay…the bottom blue shelves are unique though, i like them.

The shelf is beautiful. I really like the satin gold, round edges, and colored glass. I recommend putting it together loosely first. If you make it too tight as you go the holes won't line up. Once you get all the screws in place, then you can go back and tighten them. The stickers on all the parts were helpful but extremely annoying to remove. They even put stickers on the glass like it's not obvious where it goes. I think I'm going to buy another one to go in the other side of the T.V.

It looks nice enough for the price. However, when I opened it, there are several places where the gold finish rubbed off and there is a large scratch in the teal paint on the backside of the glass. The teal paint can be fixed easily enough, it will be tough to match the gold though. We spent about an hour trying to remove the stickers everywhere. Even the ones on the glass needed special cleaners to remove.

The worst thing about this is the sheer number of stickers that come on each part that are extremely difficult to take off. We don’t need stickers to tell us which glass is clear and which glass is turquoise, that’s just straight up stupid. I have these sticker marks all over this thing. It would be 5/5 if not for the stickers

It is so cute but had missing pieces and damaged pieces. Also the hours to get a hold of anyone about it, we keep missing. Would be too much to take back and return because we already assembled it.

This was very easy to assemble and took hardly any time to put together. The only thing that was difficult was opening the box, they made sure both would get bent. I had to use a kitchen knife to open the box. Other than that the bookshelf came out pretty well and I actually like the blue glass at the bottom. It’s a bit shorter than I thought it would be, but what I got is fine. I paid $130 for it which I think is worth the price.

Considering this was not that cheap for what it is I would not recommend this product. It looks nice from far away but it is not metallic gold - it’s like a mustard gold color (NOT brass; think dark yellow) on top of that the holes don’t align properly so it took a bit of finessing just to assemble it. It could not have been done with just one person because of this because someone need to squeeze the parts together hard enough for screws to even fit. The glass ledges are the only thing I think is actually nice about this. For the price you can find better. I didn’t return it because it took too long to put together and I didn’t have time to look for something else. The biggest takeaway is - don’t buy if you don’t have anyone to help you assemble this or if you’re looking for something brass/ metallic gold. You can do better for a similar price.
