Hayward SPX3200DLS Strainer Cover Replacement Kit for Select Hayward Tristar and Ecostar Pump

I purchased this Cover in May 2022 due to my old Cover cracking on the lower part of the threaded portion, which I was told was due to being in the sun and causing it to deteriorate. The original cover lasted 6 years in the sun. The new Cover has been in the shade since install and has now cracked in a similar place...lasted 8 months.

After 8 years of continual use, I found that the lid on one of my Hayward pumps had broken when the pump started losing prime between uses. I found this OEM part on Amazon at about a 40% discount from where I could find it elsewhere--including my local Leslie's. Four weeks later, and everything is perfect!

This was a perfect replacement for the cover of my 13-year old Hayward pump. It came with the gasket so all I had to do was apply some seal lubricant and screw it onto the strainer unit. The seal has been air (and water) tight. My old strainer cover had changed from clear plastic to a frosty yellow plastic and you couldn't look into it to see how dirty the strainer was. Now I can easily see when I need to empty the strainer. I'm thankful that they still make exact-fit replacement products after so many years.

fit like a gloves. good suction. put some marine grease before installing and you are done

They need to add that it comes with o ring. Witch I had to buy and didn't need. But now I have an extra.
