Nothing special but not crap.
EDIT: This review was written when the bike was $160. I would have a much harder time justifying buying this bike at its current price. The poor quality of the fenders I received (and, again, did not complain about) would be unacceptable on a bike at $375. Caveat emptor.Original review:It's a nice bike for the price. Are there better bikes out there? Yes, definitely, but you can't beat the bike/price ratio (that's a thing now, I just invented it). If you're looking for something just to ride around the neighborhood for a little exercise, you'd be wasting money getting anything more expensive. My only real complaint with this bike was the fenders simply did not fit. The braces that were supposed to attach to the frame were made unevenly, so one side attached to the bike frame and the other didn't reach its target. I didn't complain or contact the manufacturer because I didn't really intend to use the fenders anyway, I just wanted to see how they looked. To be fair to Vilano, It's entirely possible I did something wrong, but I could just not find how on earth they were supposed to attach to the bike. That aside, it's a decent bike.

There's a lot to like about this bike
There's a lot to like about this bike, and there's some downside too. It is handsome; I've received many compliments on its good looks. It's quite comfortable to ride, and pretty well set up for commuting, which is what I'm using it for. It wasn't too hard to assemble, though I did take it the shop for some final tuning such as brakes and gearing. The main drawback is that it is just so darn heavy, something that makes acceleration challenging, and uphills a bit of a slog, and carrying it up stairs tough. I guess I kind of like the additional exercise the bicycle's weight demands, but it is something people should be aware of.

Nice bicycle at a great price
Overall perception of initial quality is as good as comparable products in the sub-$400 price range. The bicycle arrived ahead of schedule, securely packaged with mostly biodegradable materials. All parts were present and intact. Assembly service is offered on the seller's Amazon page for $75, but only the most severely mechanically challenged will need it as the assembly is very straightforward and intuitive. Assembly instructions included in the box cover the manufacturer's entire product line and are so vague as to be useless. Assembly took me about 30 minutes from opening the box to pumping up the tires and checking the brakes. The gear train did not need adjusting and the wheels were close enough to true as to make no difference. The retro look is nicely executed and the PU leather on grips and seat is convincing enough to the casual eye. Overall, a great value.

Love this!
Love this!! Gears shift easy, rides smoothly. I get endless compliments about it whenever I'm out. And for the price? No-brained. Should note that I'm 5'10" and it's almost too tall for me.

He Loves it
Bought it for my Son, I thought he would of wanted a Mountain bike, but he chose this one, he loves it and rides every night after work, once you put it together I recommend you take it to a Bike shop and have them do a tune up, it cost $25.00 and is well worth it to make sure it safe and ready to go.

not ideal enough for me
I bought it for daily getting to work, but I found it hard to assemble together in a right way, even though I spent 1 whole day on it, it still cannot work perfectly. The front brake cannot be set too loose or tight, it's hard to adjust; the handlers are also not stable to be attached with the body.I suggest everyone think thoroughly and make decisions in a bike store to feel on a bike, rather than directly buy it online.

Great Bike at a great price
Bought this for my husband for Fathers Day. It was a surprise present and a good one at that! It arrived way earlier than projected and it was fairly easy to assemble. My husband seems to really enjoy it so that makes me happy !For reference my husband is 6'1" 280lb and solid built.

Good Bike, Great Price, Bad Manual/Assembly
The bike is the perfect height being that I'm 6ft, is perfectly comfortable, and is extremely aesthetically pleasing; however, assembling the bike was a nightmare and the instructions were not even for the right model. The parts always come loose and the breaks are always either too tight or not enough. They recommended I take it to a local bike shop for assistance with assembly and/or tuning, but now that would be more expensive than the bike itself! It's like buying a brand new computer or new car and telling the customer to take it to a technician or mechanic, it is ABSURD. If they wanted to improve their product, they need to add an actual manual that is specific for this model and apply instructions on how to configure the breaks since they come over-tightened and the front wheel needs an entire configuration from the start.
