Not-So-Natural Wine Red Henna
I have a very severe allergy to regular hair dye products due to the chemical p-Phenylenediamine (PPD). I used to dye my hair often until I acquired this allergy which resulted in nasty chemical burn - blistering, burns, itching, swollen glands, overall inflammation - on my scalp, neck and face. So when I came across Henna as an all-natural alternative to traditional dye, I was thrilled to have found a product that would allow me to adjust my natural hair color, giving me my confidence back.I have used Henna as a natural hair dye alternative for about 5 years now without issue. In fact, I often used the Dark Brown Henna this company offers. I decided to mix it up when I saw their "new" Natural Wine Red product in my local Sally's beauty supply store.BIG MISTAKE!I should NEVER have assumed that this product was safe simply because I have used your other Henna products without any allergic reaction. What I didn't realize is that this "new" product is new in more ways than one. It not only has natural Henna in it, but also this awful "new" ingredient PPD! I am now dealing with a very nasty case of chemical burn as I write this and am extremely upset that this isn't labeled more clearly on the packaging of your new product. Why would someone ruin a perfectly good product with such disgusting "not-so-natural" ingredients?I will certainly be more cautious in the future as far as my use of "new" beauty products is concerned. This experience has ruined my trust in "all-natural" products indefinitely so it is unlikely I will ever try a Henna product in my hair ever again. I guess dirty blonde it is for now on...

Allergies
I am allergic to most hair dyes also. I got excited when i found this at sallys and thought awesome now i dont have to order and wait for my regular brand to come in. Its been so long since ive had a bad reaction i forgot to read the label. Well thank goodness its not too bad but bad enough to have to take an allergy med. Guess ill have to go back to my old brand and order from Amazon. Just a warning to read labels if you have allergies. I did a patch test but obviously didnt give it long enough to develop a reaction.
