The good part is that this is really inexpensive
The good part is that this is really inexpensive. My plan was to use it with a Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70F with Android version 5.0.1. The app CameraFi installs fine. When it opens it says "CamerFi does not operate on this device[Mediatek]. Any further questions, please contact to the device manufacturer." I have no idea what that means but since the camera is not plugged in I have to guess it related to the tablet???? I found another app called USBCamera and installed it. With it the camera is displayed but with loooooooong pauses between frames. Pretty much a bust but it does say the camera and tablet could possibly work together sort of.I did plug it into my desktop PC and it works well there but I can't bring the whole pc to places to use the scope. It did confirm a few things for me however.1) You have no idea where up/down/left/right are. It would be nice to have some feed back from the camera as to it orientation.2) Focal length is very limited, as you come up on something it is hard to tell what you are seeing then you can see it but as you get even closer it's gone again.3) Cable is flexible, not that flexible but enough that it has the curve left in it from being curled so attempting to have to go straight will not work. Perhaps it will hang out and get rid of some of the curl???4) The images are pretty crude, it needs a better camera as finding finer features is not possible.Pretty much disappointed, but it is cheap. Had it worked better I was going to get a few more as gifts but as it is I'll keep it to play with then wait for when I get a new tablet with hopes it works with it. I think someone mentioned putting a white dot to get the orientation, might try that. Why the low score? Poor image quality and the fact that I haven't found a way to use it with my device. If I did find an app I still wouldn't go higher then a 3 due to the image quality.

Good for the price but...
Worth the cheap price. However, the lens fell out after no time. I was able to glue it back and seal it with heat shrink tubing. It would have been tragic had I lost it inspecting the intake or turbo on my car.It won't focus closer than a few inches so it's not good for tight places. The lights work and are dimmable. The app works well, you can take pictures. The cord is somewhat flexible so I've needed to rig it with clothes hangers or pvc pipe in a few applications. It's been invaluable in several situations, mainly looking at engine parts and down in vents.I would have probably shopped for one with that would focus closer and had a stiffer wire. The accessories on other cables would habe been handy, like the 90° mirror or hooks and magnets. The best feature is the usb/mini plug. More products need this. For the price it's worth it but I'd spend a little more and get something a little better.

This is an amazing gadget! Even more so when its price is considered. You may have to try a few apps before finding one that works with your device. My 3 year old Kindle Fire HDX was finnicky, but I found a free app that works. The focal length of the tiny lens is fixed at about 2 inches, and the depth of field is pretty short. It won't clearly view closeup detail. I hope they develop a short focal length model. I'll be the first customer. While I'm wishing, how about a camera head that points 90 degrees from the cable axis with a really short focal length to examine bore I.D. The adjustable LED's are nice also.

False Advertising
Figured it wouldn't actually be 2 Megapixels. It is 640x480 pixels. False Advertising. It also refuses to connect to CameraFi in kitkat OS, nor any other USB camera app. Only works with my Windows 7. Still gonna use the pos somehow to try and identify the problem I bought it for, but 1 star.

This is great except the software or the camera isn't compatible with my phone. Works great on my computer, tho that is less portable. Still lots of fun.Update:The vendor sent a follow-up email to see how it was working out. I replied with the above issue and assumed that I'd never hear another word.I got a reply almost immediately, and the representative Amber really made me feel valuable as a customer, even offering a partial refund. I was resigned to having a camera that didn't work with my phone end of story. That fact is unchanged, except now I will actively seek out this seller in the future. Thank you so much.

Wonderful inspection camera at a great price.
Works great with the app suggested. Love the adjustable LED lights, from off to very bright. With in the app you can change the resoultion, but I suggest keeping it with the lower one, it actually looks worse on the higher res, I believe it lets you select it but the camera doesn't support that higher res. Great image on default settings! Of course you will get a better image if you spend 10x more. But it won't be a 10x better image, I chose to save my money and try this, very happy I did.

$9 at the time of purchase -- worth it vs the ones which cost more.
Works great as expected. The cable is not like a hard cable you can adjust and it will stay in that position. It's like a regular cord that you can freely manipulate with every movement. Wasn't a deal breaker for me though.@ $9 (at time of purchase) the rest were like $3+ more and the only real difference I saw was the longer cord and the harder plastic cord. What I got here was more than enough needed.

Nice and solidly made product! Worked fine with my Samsung Note 3. Based on previous reviews, I installed different app (Scoopecam), full screen mode, no intrusive ads. This product let me check the inside wall in my kitchen through the small hole in recessed lighting (I hoped to locate forgotten air duct in the cavity, which is, alas, not there...). No need to drill the wall, etc. In spite I didn't get the results I hoped (finding the duct and having proper ventilation in the kitchen), I am very happy with this product and will definitely use it again!
