MBT Women's Wia High Boot

I've had reconstructive surgery on both feet. MBT shoes are the only shoes I've found that I can wear. I purchased these because I was excited to have something that wasn't black and looked a little dressy. It is a real chore to get them on to my feet. (My feet are delicate - it just isn't possible to force them into shoes with risking serious injury). The zippers don't really provide enough "give" to get them on. The laces up top are completely unnecessary - the don't do a thing to help get them on and don't tighten up enough to make any difference.On "good foot days" (days my feet don't hurt more than usual) I can usually get them on as long as I'm not wearing thick socks. When I can get them on my feet, I am putting them on so I can walk around the house to get used to them. I've had them for four months and still haven't been comfortable enough to be able to wear them out of the house, yet. I'm hoping to get to the point I can wear them with cushioned socks. It will be nice to have a little more variety than the black MBT Maryjanes I currently wear everyday!

Sizing: their medium width is really a wider width because of the soft material that may stretch easily overtime; unless someone stretched this shoes from repeated fitting before me and returned it; I am usually 6.5 but the lower 1/2 size or size 6 could be the best because my feet looks bigger in WIDTH on this shoes that is already 6-6.5; then, maybe the 5.5 might be a better size but i am skeptical because i already had difficulty donning my feet in; and i could hardly have my foot come out because it is NOT stretch on the entry. The color combination bothers me; the color of the shoe itself is good beige but maybe a white sole could be better because the black makes it more wider when it is already more than wide enough like those eskimo boots. / IF the shoe repair man could alter; the entry with elastic garter; I am willing to use arch inserts and more inserts this way it will become narrower width. It is a headache how to repair this; yet, i like the Function of the mbt sole because it helped me to take off my leg spasm/Charlie horse. My doctor recommended mbt and it really works. i really hate to return these shoes.

jury is still out- I love the look of these boots and am trying to make them work by wearing them an hour a day around the house with plastic bags around them so they don't get messed up in case I have to return them (now on day 3). I am hoping the stiffness and smaller width will relax. I am noticing some improvement, and will give it another day...I have been wearing MBT boots for probably 5-6 years, and contacted the newly restructured company to find out what's up with the sizing. They told me that yes, their new shoes are not as wide as they were before the bankruptcy- saving leather? they are also planning on eventually offering some wider widths. I am somewhat "traumatized"!!! MBT boots have changed my life. I was fairly limited by sciatica until I began wearing MBT boots and shoes. I rely in them so much, the idea of not finding ones that fit is SCARY (wishing I could put an emoji here).

Having had foot surgery, I only wear MBT shoes, sandals and boots. No other shoe even comes close to working for me. I have had trouble in the past with MBT boots not being wide enough in the calf. I have had to have my cobbler cut the tall boots down to ankle boots. These boots however fit perfectly from the beginning. I have them in brown and I have received numerous compliments on how great they look - not always the case with MBT's. So, not only are they comfortable, they look stylish. An easy 5 star for me.

Ordered by regular size in the revised MBT sizing, 36 and the footbed fits perfectly and comfortably. HOWEVER, getting it on and off is very difficult. I've decided to keep the boots because MBT is out of business and this is the end of the line so I'm trying to stock up. Have received many compliments on these boots. Look great with skinny jeans or leggings. They are fun and make me happy to wear them except or the getting on and off. Such is life.

Love the boots. As expected there is, indeed, a blue mark on one heel but I wanted these more for function than looks. They're super comfy and I have bilateral plantar fasciitis and only met gives me relief.

Boots look fantastic and well made but had to return as they fit too large, probably fit one whole size larger than expected so keep in mind when ordering.

I think these boots are super-cute. I had to send them back though because they did not open far enough to get my foot in so I am honestly not sure how they fit. I was really really disappointed.
