An excellent and well made piece of kit for use in the home.
After reading several reviews on comparable lamps I have just purchased two of these camping Tavaler lamps primarily for use in the house if we have power cuts this winter (My camping days are over). I am very impressed with the apparent build quality. Arrived 99% charged and all the lighting modes work well and are easily selected. The battery % charge indicator is very useful. The 8000mAh battery capacity if achieved is good in case I experience a winter power cut with a low charge mobile phone state. I like the ability to remove the upper section revealing an illuminated half globe for use when hanging from the ceiling. This directs a little more light downwards if hanging the lamp overhead. 700w Light output acceptable - approx. 50-60 watts in incandescent lamp terms. I have just tried it out (in the soft light mode) after dark in the lounge (16ft X 13ft) and kitchen (9ft X14ft) and it provides adequate and comforting illumination around the those rooms - but not quite enough to easily read a book or magazine unless placed quite close . It is after all primarily designed for use in tents. Overall an excellent piece of kit.

Brilliant lantern
Bought this compact rechargeable lantern in case of a power cut. It came partly charged and with the charging lead supplied I finished the charging using my phone charger. It’s easy to operate and to change the brightness and to dim it up and down with the buttons. On the front are numbers denoting the percentage of charge remaining, which is very handy. I hope we don’t have to use it, but it’s there if we do. It seems very well made and has a handle for carrying.

Bright light...
I can't comment on battery life yet (should be reasonable given battery capacity) but this is a bright light which can be stepped down with a dimmer button. Power button is fiddly to use however- takes a longer press to turn on and these are rubber covers overlying the switch, not robust. Unsure how useful the phone charging facility will be, but with an 8500mah battery should be able to recharge phone. Has been bought for use in powercuts but we also have a touring caravan so handy for use in our awning. Clear display with remaining battery life. Fair price for what it is.

Perfect for camping
Can’t speak for the longevity of this as I’ve only used it a few times so far, however we took this out on a camping trip and it was perfect. The battery was on 70% after 2 nights of heavy use. The power bank feature is also very welcomed and charges other USB devices just fine. The lantern itself can be hung either from the top or bottom with the built in mounts and seems very durable. Being able to change the colour temperature of the lamp means that it’s comfortable for long periods of use.Would buy again.

Its big and heavy
It's big and heavy but that's not a criticism. I expected smaller only because my other lanterns are smaller. A perfect emergency lantern for the home or caravan, maybe a tad heavy for hanging in a tent. Personally I only like the daylight tint, others may like the warm white. Does anybody like cool white? I like that it has a % display of charge. I also like that it is USB Type-C charging. Updating to Type-C was another reason I selected this lantern. Plenty battery capacity. The reason it is heavy.

Brilliant light but sadly no longer available on Amazon
This is an excellent lantern for my van. The warm setting gives a nice cosy light and it's bright enough to cook and read with. The battery lasts for several evenings without charging, and it is very quick to recharge from the van lighter socket. Unfortunately when I came to buy another one I was very disappointed to find them no longer available.

Powerful and durable
I have to admit that I've used gas lanterns for many years, and have continued to do so until now.The Tavaler lantern has made me reconsider my position. At full power, it's brighter than any of my gas lanterns - only a big paraffin pressure lantern can beat it. On a low setting, it can run for days. The ability to select three different colour temperatures is a major plus, the warm white is my favourite, much easier on the eye than the usual LED cold white.I may well buy another one.

I really want to like it but...actually now I've had it a while..
I love that its USB C and has a large battery and LCD panel to show how much power is left and build quality seems pretty good.. However the main issue is that this lantern is not very bright - nowhere near 700 lumens (300-400 at most) nor anywhere near as bright as another lantern I bought that has a genuine output of 1000 lumens for the same price. If you are looking for a small lantern that gives the same sort of light output as a couple of candles with a long lasting battery and you don't need a light that floods a room it's pretty good.Update - I have to be honest this light has grown on me. The battery lasts really well and its been really useful and although not as bright as my other 1000 lumen Lantern I now prefer it. I use it pretty much every night as a sidelight (at the lowest setting) once my wife goes to sleep and the battery lasts and lasts. Not so much for the 1000 Lumen light even at low output settings.
