Worked better than application by Contractor
My lake association pays a water management contractor to manage the water quality. They do a good job on most things, except for lily pad control. I had four areas to remove the lily pads. I experimented with three different application techniques. Be sure to use a "Surfactant", for better surface adhesion. Also use a "Make-It Blue" so you can see where you are spraying. The best method was one application, early in the morning, using chest high water waders. This insured no water wake and no possibility of application wash off. Within one day the pads showed signs of stress. In one week they were gone.Another method was an application from a small paddle boat. This did cause some water wake and I had to applied a second applications several days later with the same results, pads gone. Our commercial contractor applies their spay from a motor powered moving boat. I believe the excessive water wake effects the results. After several weeks, there was minimal reduction in lily pads.

We have used this for lily pads and cattails with great success our pond it was completely covered now its open. Cleaned it up the first summer we used it . Had a few come up from seed the next summer which we wiped out and still have over a 1/2 gallon of spray left . Our pond is about 1/3 acre. It takes multiple sprayings because new plants keep emerging from seed but if you stay with it you can get your pond back without hurting the aquatic life. It also kills weeds in the driveway just like Round Up

I recommend using the non-ionic surfactant and the dye
Worked as advertised. I used this to clear my dock area from lily pads and weeds. Within two weeks all pads were gone. I recommend using the non-ionic surfactant and the dye. This will insure that it sticks to the surface of the lily pads and you will be able to tell where you have sprayed. I went back after two weeks to catch any pads that I missed but really didn't find any. I will check back in a few months to see if it was a temporary kill or a permanent one. I still want to clear more but this was a good start. I will probably need to do this one or two time a year to keep from getting overrun by pads but I'm glad there is a product that is safe and effective. I've attached before and after photos.Well it's been all Summer and into the new year and still no Lily pads came back. I expect to have a few in the Spring and will re-treat if needed. I see a lot of reviews saying that it does not work on Lily pads but they do not mention if they used a surfactant. It will NOT work without it!

this is a great product that I would recommend we all use in ...
We live on a lake and am very cautious about anything I use for weeds or fertilizer. Rodeo is one of the few weed control/herbicides that can be used near lakes, rivers, etc., or even on the water plants themselves. If all that is true, this is a great product that I would recommend we all use in place of Round-up. It actually kills weeds very well with one application and keeps most of them from coming back. Recommend. mew/rpw

This did a wonderful job of killing extremely invasive Lesser Celandine in the creek in our back yard. Several websites recommended this product, and I couldn't find it locally. Warning - this quantity will last decades at the rate I use it. I think it's enough to fill your crop duster. I think I had to dilute 2 Tablespoons in 2 gallons of water.

I prefer Rodeo to Roundup. Here's why...
Since Rodeo glyphosate is marketed as an aquatic herbicide it does not have any additional surfactants added to it as most Roundup products do. Research suggests that the negative health effects that have been alleged to be related to Roundup exposure (if such affects truly exist) are likely related to these added surfactants. The active ingredient itself, Glyphosate, is very low toxicity and is unlikely to be the cause of reported health issues in people or animals.Since I like to exercise an abundance of caution when working with pesticides, I use Rodeo instead of Roundup, and I add a horticultural oil (either petroleum or vegetable base) at a rate of 3-4% to act as a surfactant when mixing up my spray solution. Also, don't forget to add an appropriate amount of Ammonium Sulfate to your herbicide spray mix if you think you may have hard water as the dissolved minerals that make hard water hard will reduce the effectiveness of any glyphosate herbicide significantly.

Need heavy dose and multiple applications for Lily Pads
I have a pond behind my house that has been taken over by lily pads. Bought this to try and combat the situation based on all the reviews.I had to mix up about 20oz to 1gal and even then after a week the pads were only about 80% dead so spraying a second time was necessary. I don't know why people are suggesting you can mix such small amounts - perhaps there are weeds that die quicker but suggest a healthy dose if you too are trying to remove lily pads. Be ready for multiple applications.

Absolutely awesome stuff!
Wow, this stuff works great! I used it for lilly pads in my pond and it killed all of them. I used it around the growth around the pond and it did an amazing job. Now I use this stuff around my house instead of expensive weed killers which don't even contend to this this and Rodeo is tons cheaper. I wish I knew about Rodeo a long time ago.
