High quality fish oil

I have been using this cod liver oil from this brand for a long time.I add it to their food every night. I don't notice any fishy smells and they eat up their dinner every night. I combine it also with DogGreens powder.My vet asks me what I put in their food because their coats are shiny and healthy.I'm assuming this oil helps with their overall health because their health checks reports come back consistent and without any problems. Usually on the range of normal levels.As far as taste goes, the dogs go on their backs and gave it four paws up and a wagging tail, no complaints. They are pretty happy about it.The packing of the bottles have also improved over the years of receiving this product. They now come in really secure packaging. In the early years there were broken bottles sometimes when I get the shipment due to mishandling.Personally I will continue to buy and give my dogs this oil. It seems to add to their health in ways I can't necessarily quantify scientifically or medically as I've always given them this oil.I guess I can test them out by not giving it to them but I rather not use them as my personal test subjects. Why mess with something that isn't broken, right?

Our holistic vet put our 3 dogs on a special diet that requires that we feed them additional supplements to ensure that they get all the nutrients they require. Part of the diet is feeding a good quality cod liver oil every day. Our vet recommended Nordic Naturals Pet Cod Liver Oil and gave us some small sample bottles to try. The oil itself doesn't have a strong scent and when we mixed it in with their food, they ate it no with problem. After reading up on different fish oils, we decided to continue feeding the Nordic Naturals Cod Liver Oil because of the high quality and excellent reputation. Our dogs' coats are shiny and their skin is never dry. We give each dog 1tsp daily (3tsps altogether) so we buy the 16oz bottle and it lasts about a month for us. We feel that we're getting a great value for the quality of the cod liver oil so we plan on continuing to purchase this product for our dogs.

This product is great and our dogs love it! After the Vet recommended it we started giving it to our three dogs and they all love it. It use to be that the dogs would take their time to eat and you would have to stand there and watch them to make sure they ate, but not with this stuff. Now as soon as we sit the bowls down they are all over it. They seem to really like the taste and smell. And even after 6 months of giving it to them they still seem to love it. Also, at our last Vet visit the Vet was very impressed with some of the improvements they saw in their lab work and overall health. Now I'm not sure that the fish oil is 100% the cause of the improvements, but it didn't seem to hurt. Just a warning, the Vet told us to slowly increase the amount that you give your pet over several days until you ultimately reach your goal dose. The reason they gave us is b/c it may upset your pets stomach or cause diarrhea if too much is introduced too quickly. We didn't have a problem with diarrhea or anything with our dogs, but it maybe b/c we took it slow.

This cod liver oil works wonders for our sheltie. It works so much better than other fish and salmon oil products that we have tried in the past. I don't know why it is so great, but the fur coat has never been this shiny and thick. You will be amazed. Be ready for more regular brushing...

My canine orthopedic surgeon recommended this product for my hunting dog to aid in recovery from a severely broken leg suffered in the field, to increase joint mobility and decrease arthritis. It's pretty hard to tell whether the dog's recovery was the result of surgical skill or the after-surgery meds and therapy but the dog is running freely and seldom limping. One telling thing is that we ran out of this oil for about a week recently and after about three days I noticed a decline in his mobility and an increase in limping. So it must be working. I intend to keep feeding it to him for the rest of his life,

Great product, just upset that it is not returnable if broken.

I love my dogs. I trust this company. I love the shine and softness of the coats of my 7 pups as a direct result of using this product. I hope it is doing something good for them on the inside, too!
