I am not an artist but do like painting (by number!). I have decided that a neck ache is not worth the painting time so I decided to invest in an easel. This one is absolutely perfect. It is very portable and folds up nicely as you can see in the first photo. There is also a carrying case which makes it convenient for traveling or storing away. The height can be adjusted so you can be comfortable either sitting or standing. It comes already assembled with the exception of the tray which simply pops onto the easel frame. The tray is used to hold your paints, rags, brushes, etc. I particularly like the fact that there is a level on the easel which helps if you decide to go outside. Additionally, the "feet" on the legs adjust to the angle of the ground without you having to do anything. Vey convenient. The material of the stand is a light metal and when set up and locked, it is very sturdy. I will be using only indoors but I can see how convenient it would be outside, as well. Keep in mind that this frame is relatively lightweight so be cognizant, if you paint outside, of any wind that may tip it over. I'm very pleased and would recommend this easel, especially for the quasi-painter, such as myself.

I’ve had it for about one month, it is very sturdy and veryyy adjustable. I love how it holds my canvases nicely and you can adjust it to the length of the canvas. I love how you can take it traveling or use it as a desk top easel. Easy storage for people worried about it taking up space when you aren’t using it. It can extend to I think 7ft tall and get compacted to around 2 ft (all approx) this one is much much better then the previous one I have and it is very cost effective especially for a beginner painter or a painter on a budget!

Very good product! It looked like the picture and is fairly sturdy. The tray is a little flimsy so be careful. It’s also easy to assemble.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was very skeptical upon reading reviews but I do not intend to use this with large canvases, more for plein aire. Obviously this is light aluminum which means the metal can bend if it is used too roughly, but this is exactly as described. If it is too lightweight and it gets blown over in a wind, I suggest people buy an easel hammock which Velcros to all three legs and you fill with rocks or weigh down with your extra supplies. I also purchased an additional light weight plastic tray to attach to hold things for me. I will say the bag it comes with doesnt fit everything without some shuffling, but it's doable. This is a very rudimentary set up for outside artistry. My easel, collapsible stool, extra tray, and easel hammock all cost less than $50. On its own, it's perfect for indoor easy use. I am really happy with this easel. It is very light weight and easy to assemble. It comes with a carrying case and can easily be taken to a park or the beach. I love that I can either stand and paint/create or use it as a tabletop easel and sit. The height of the easel can be adjusted to suit a person who is around 5'10" or shorter comfortably (my estimate). It may not be as comfortable for someone taller, hence using it on a tabletop and sitting. The legs are easy to adjust, but the piece that the canvas sits on is a bit more tricky to adjust and may be a bit difficult to get perfectly horizontal (level). Storage is easy, it can fit in a tote or even a cabinet.

This will work for you just fine as an easel but it is not very high quality, quite flimsy aluminum or whatever metal it’s made of.Super easy to set up and easily adjustable.I got it for its small size and easy storage.

Not as sturdy as I’d like, plastic is a bit more brittle so I’m curious how it will hold up over time. But it was easy to set up and I like how adjustable it is. I’ve been using it though and it gets the job done. The color makes me happy and that’s worth it :)
