Q: My pitcher has several hundred air bubbles in the glass; these imperfections dilute the beauty of the item, is this normal?

It's very beautiful and very heavy, about 16 inches high. Don't know what they're measuring? The bowl at the bottom is about 8", but the front of the pitcher to the widest point of the handle, 10-12 inches. It's more than .03 inches thick. Have no idea what that refers to. As I said, glass is very heavy without liquid, so pourer must be strong!
