Wear it with layers if you live in a cold area!!(45-55F or beloe
Purchased this cost on 12-15-2018!Tl;Dr reviewI bought this coat to have something more wearable and realistic than my standard winter jacket (and I especially needed to find something better, for a friend's funeral service later today) . I spent probably 12 literal hours searching through coats on Amazon that were within my search criteria. Deliverable within 2 days and under $50 dollars. I spent most of that time reading hundreds upon hundreds of reviews. And all I can say about that is, Holy Christ. Some of you are ridiculous. Amazon should have mods that delete people's repetitive and useless reviews. Which the majority of them are. 100 people asking if it'll fit is fine. Asking what the material is or where it's made when it clearly states it in the description of almost every product, IS NOT OKAY! Read everything first!!... But I digress.Let's get into the coat. First of all I'm short. Maybe 5'5 3/4 on a great day. 5'6" in shoes. I'm about 155-165 pounds and I have t-rex arms haha. Okay, not literally, but most days it feels like it.. I'm around a 36 chest. 36 waist. And like 32 arm length, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway..The medium is perfect. I imagine it would be ok for taller guys as well, but not by much. Maybe 5'8" tops. The coat isn't overly long, like a top coat etc.Pros: I love how it looks overall and how it fits. Looks way better than I could have hoped for. It feels like great quality. Material is 70% polyester 30% wool.Wore it right out of the box and it had no wrinkles. No missing buttons etc.Cons: Buttons look cheap and are stitched terribly. Half the buttons are only stitched through two holes, and all of the buttons are stitched Through different holes of the buttons. I am going to get better buttons asap.Biggest con of all...this coat is like wearing a windbreaker in Antarctica. I live in Chicago and was hoping to have a nice looking and also warm, coat. Well..this one won't keep you that warm . Not below, I'm going to just assume, maybe 50 degrees. I tried it outside as soon as I got it. The temperature was 38F. I was wearing a tee shirt with a long sleeve sweater type shirt over that and then the coat, and I was freezing! Does ok for wind but not temperature.Over all, I would highly recommend this coat! The winters wearability would be fine with the right layers. Thermal for sure. This would otherwise be a perfect 3 season coat.

Alpine Swiss medium gray coat.
Very nice. I was alittle skeptical in buying this jacket based on previous reviews, but I am glad I did purchase. This is actually my first peacoat. Hoo-rah for me! I am not a big guy (6ft- 170 lbs), but buying a gray-medium, it fits very well through the arms and chest. It's not too long nor too big. Being wool, the material is very warm so it'll do well for those cold days. The coat itself looks good too. I am glad because I needed an actual coat (not a usual hoodie) to go with my casual outfits. Plus, i didn't want the fashion police to come and get me! I will try and post some photos later. Thanks for reading!

Better this time....
Ordered a medium first, and although it was listed as only 1.5cm larger than the small, it fit HUGE. We probably could’ve lived with that, but the construction was poor. Every button was dangling by a thread. Some seams were loose too. But, my son loved the style.Amazon being amazing, as usual, gave us a quick return and refund. We reordered a small, taking a chance, and it paid off. For what ever reason (shift change at the sweatshop??), the quality was WAY better. Everything was assembled well on the small.Minus 1 star for poor initial quality on the medium. Also, a little light. If this is intended for extreme temperatures, expect to layer.

Pleasantly surprised
Ordered this on a whim as I’ve been wanting a pea coat but didn’t want to spend a lot on one. Was very skeptical, based on the low price, but it’s a recognizable brand and had good reviews so I took the chance. I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised when I received the coat. It is a “real” pea coat with nice material. Honestly can’t believe the quality to price ratio, this could easily be double the price or more!As others have pointed out, it’s not too heavy, which is perfect for me in California. But in heavy winter conditions you would definitely need to layer.Only negative is the fit, which is not too flattering. Fits well in the upper portion around chest and shoulders, but it hangs in a very floppy untailored way. I plan to get it altered at a tailor to make it more form fitting, at which point it will be just about perfect. Also - yes, the bottom 2 buttons are sewn into the pockets which is awkward, but hopefully something I can also get fixed at the tailor. All in all, for the price, it’s a winner. With tailoring, I will have a perfect pea coat for around $100.

Nice coat for the price.
I really do love this coat but 3 things of note.1. For me at least it is pretty snug across the shoulders, I would say I have a large frame but am hardly a linebacker and do not usually have this problem with coats.2. For some reason some of the decorative buttons sewed on the front are somehow attached to the hand pocket lining. Not a huge deal but does cause some unexpected tension and puckering.3. Other people will love this coat, I get compliments each time I wear it. Specifically Dr. Who fans for some reason...I don't know enough about the show to understand the connection but it comes up so often I simply nod knowingly.

Good quality and looks good but a little short
Ordered this for my bf because he has been wanting a peacoat for a while and he looks really good in them so I'm happy to oblige :DIt fit him well and I thought it looked good. The quality is good and it's a thinner peacoat which is perfect for those of us who live in SoCal and only venture to really cold places occasionally. It is definitely something he could have worn around LA on those chilly nights. It is a bit boxier looking when unbuttoned but not a deal breaker. It fit him well in the chest, waist, shoulders and arms. But in the end we decided to return it because it was a little shorter than we imagined. In the photo, the jacket appears to go below the model's butt. Maybe the model in the photo is really short because at 5'11 (and a thin/fit frame) this barely grazed the top of my bf's butt. Not the look he wanted. We ended up finding the perfect peacoat elsewhere for the same price.

Good value. Fit is a little loose.
It is overall a goodpurchase . Fits a little loosler than expected. I am 175 cms and avg build and weight 74 kgs. I ordered small, which is their smallest size, but still like it quite a bit. Good value for the amount of money.
