Philips Shower Filter cartridge, NSF certified KDF Material Double Mesh Filtration, Reducing Chlorine/Impurities/Rust Sediments (shower filter cartridge)

I got these because my girlfriend was complaining about the water being very rough on her skin. I looked at a few different shower filter options, but none were as affordable and efficient as this one. She said she noticed the change almost within the week and I've been using it for over a year now. It's pretty cheap to change the filters and pretty easy to do. When replacing the filter you can shake and see the amount of dirt grime and minerals that have been filtered out. Will definitely be getting these if I ever need to get another one.

It should be good water filter, but super heavy. My apt pipe almost can’t hold it

The product itself is very good. My skin feels much better and doesn't go dry after each shower anymore. But it's very hard to open and prepare the product before installation. You need one person with very big and strong hands to open and pull, and another with slim fingers to push the seal open. I almost sent the product back because I wasn't able to open it alone.

Unfortunately this product does not work as intended. Although KDF (the filter ingredient) does indeed remove chlorine, the flow rate of a common shower is simply too high for this device. This would only work for very low, almost dripping, flow rates. I ran multiple chlorine tests to confirm this. The search for a great shower filter that removes chlorine effectively continues…
