I have a Samsung front loader and the spider that turns the drum failed yet again due to a poor design. This time around, I did all I could to try to prevent the decay from happening, or at the very least slowing it down.To that end, I decided to paint the spider before installing it. I used this paint seeing as it was good for boats, and the zinc cromate would provide an additional barrier between the steel drum and thw aluminum spider. Galvanic corrosion Is likely only one cause behind the rot, but it's a big one. It took some manipulation in order to get the paint in all the nooks and crannies of the spider, but in the end comma it looks pretty good. An epoxy clear coat, to further isolate the two metals, served as the final application.

I just received this product. For several years Zinc Chromate Primer has been difficult to find due to lots of issues. The zinc chromate I have used since the old products disappeared were dismal in performance. I just used this product and I am surprised at the great results. I am an aircraft mechanic and need a good aluminum primer and this appears to be my new 'go to' product.

Had the nozzle clog entirely about halfway through the first can. I blew it out backwards with an air compressor and was able to clear it. It started clogging again as i got near the bottom of the can. It's worth noting that this was all in one session where I used the entire can on the first use.

Got turned onto this in a forum. Now I use it on all my marine parts as a primer before painting. Paint sticks and seals any aluminum corrosion you couldn’t get off. I keep it on hand at all times.

I primed an aluminum box, it adheres good I put a finish coat of paint over it and a couple coats of clear, held up fine
