Q: Do you need a subscription to view the videos?

Unfortunately yes. However, since I already have a Ring 10/month subscription for multiple cameras in my house, instead I just added a stick-up Ring camera in the corner of my garage to view live, record and even comunícate with anyone in the garage. The video quality is way better than the silly little camera on the Chamberlain motor. The MyQ subscription is huge waste of money.

Q: Do i need to add a myq hub to integrate this unit to apple homekit? will they charge a subscription fee? how much is that fee?

Thank you for your question. To integrate with Apple HomeKit, you will need to purchase our Home Bridge product. There is no subscription free required.

Q: Is there anyway possible to connect this model to Alexa? Would be so nice to ask Alexa to open or close garage door!

I did this with my moms garage door the other day. If you Google “link my Q to Alexa”, there is an article that shows you how to utilize the Live Key (if I remember right) app to do this. It is a LENGTHY step-by-step process, but if you follow the steps, it does work! Hope this helps!

Q: To the manufactuer - Can the led light be set to stay on beyond 4.5 minutes? It always turn dark on me after that, even with motion.

Yes. you just have to hit the button twice and it will stay on. It will turn on due to the motion detector so manually turn it off and back on, after that it will stay lit until you turn it off or trigger the door to open or close.
