Great stimulation and exercise for your dog
We purchased this remote feeder for our miniature American shepherd puppy. This breed needs LOTS of exercise and continuous stimulation/job. This feeder is a wonderful addition to our collection of puzzles. Open the top and there is a barrel to hold the kibble. We feed 1 cup and it is about 3/4 full at 1 cup. Insert the barrel, turn the unit on and either plug in or have batteries inside. The remote button takes batteries also. It has two different sound cues so the dog knows that the remote was successfully pressed. You put the remote where you want it - it can hang by suction (we did not do this) or it can be placed on the floor. We started out with the remote next to the feeder. It took only two times of hitting the button for our pup to understand how it worked. When the button is pressed, there is a chime or tone and the barrel rotates, dropping some kibble in the tray. The opening on the barrel is adjustable. We started moving the feeder and button to different locations to add a challenge each feeding. Sometimes I create an obstacle course for our pup to go through to get to the button. I don't know about the exact transmission range, but we can put the button on the lower level and the feeder on the second floor or put the button at one end of the hall and the feeder in the opposite end of the next room, some 30 feet away and it works great. Our dog LOVES the feeder and loves the challenges we give him ever meal time. It takes about 30-35 minutes for our pup to eat from this feeder with our setup (pup is 6 months old). I highly recommend this feeder if you have a dog that needs a job and needs to be busy all the time and needs more exercise. Note: the first one we purchased would not connect. It was easily returned and the second one has worked like a charm for 2 months, 2x a day.

Fantastic product!
Love this item! My dog has so much fun with this. It can keep him entertained for awhile. It took just 2 days to train him how to use it and then after that, he was a pro.

Great for treats or kibble!
I really like this product and so does our pup. We’ve used it for treats and for kibble.. He definitely prefers kibble.Pros - It keeps your pup busy. It’s pretty easy to figure out how to assemble and use. It can easily be adjusted to dispense different sizes and amounts. It isn't too loud and makes just enough noise for your pup to catch onto the sounds and know when it is dispensing. Works from a good distance if you want your pup to go a ways to get the treats.Cons- It doesn't come with a plug for a regular outlet so you will need your own. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it lined up right before it starts dispensing. It has stopped dispensing while it still contained treats. The button comes with a suction cup that didn't work great.. At least not on our hardwood floors. And if your dog is rough with it they can easily flip the button over and/or knock the top off of the machine.

Dog treat dispenser
This is a great puzzle- treat dispenser for a bored puppy or to use on a rainy day. We place the button in one room/ treat dispenser in another room. This burns some energy off and makes our puppy work for her treats. I love that it’s rechargeable. Saves on batteries which is nice. This is definitely one of our puppy’s favorite activities. Highly recommend!

Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money. I was really excited for this product but it never kept a charge from the time I took it out of the package. We tried batteries and those didn’t work either (several different brands incase bc you know some batteries aren’t as good as others), we even left it plugged in and tried to use it that way and it would work twice and then power off it just never had enough power (and these were anker blocks and I even changed the chords to several different ones plus mind you we just had all the outlets/receptacles updated recently as well so there is no excuse for something $50+ to not work ever). I missed my return window of course by 2 days bc I kept trying different things to see if I could get it to work but I gave up. No offense to the seller but the product itself is definitely not worth the price.

Item Was Great…While It Worked
The media could not be loaded. The dispenser worked great for the first week or so, and then the motor slowed down and then eventually stopped working sometimes. My pup learned how to use it very quickly, and loved it, but now he has to press the button at least three times for the treat wheel to completely turn and release food, that’s when the motor works as all. He gets frustrated and gives up. I tried new batteries, using the power chord, moving the button closer, pressing the button longer, turning off then on, but nothing helped. I’m returning it and will get a replacement and give it one more try.

A great automatic feeder, keeps my puppy occupied!
The media could not be loaded. I have a highly energetic Labrador puppy, and I got this when he was 4 months old. I've been using it every day since then, and he's now 9 months old. This is just one of the many enrichment activities and exercises he gets each day, and it’s become an important part of how I feed him.To train him, I started by placing the button close to the dispenser and manually adding kibble to the tray each time I pressed it. He quickly caught on, so I then added kibble to the dispenser while keeping the button nearby. It took him about 10-15 minutes to get used to the sound of the rotating dispenser and understand that it meant something good was coming. That evening, I moved the button further away, and he figured it out - there's been no looking back since! The dispenser requires 4 C batteries, and the button needs 3 AAA batteries. While the button batteries last a long time, the dispenser batteries tend to die quickly if you use it daily. I bought 8 rechargeable batteries, and they've been working great so far.I recommend this feeder to anyone who's looking for an additional way of feeding along with exercise/enrichment for their dogs.
