My favorite silk PLA
Awesome filament. Great price. I love GIANTARM silk PLA. It's got great shine to it, prints perfectly every time, and is so easy to use. Prints as good as any $30+ filament that I've ever used. It prints perfectly using Bambu Lab generic silk PLA profile or a custom profile. I have never had a failed print using any of their filaments. Every spool has come perfectly wound and tangle free. Not brittle at all. I highly recommend it.

Tough to work with
I'm giving this 5 stars because as a filament, it's quality. The spooling is excellent, the materials seem quality and the color is outstanding. Some people may rightfully want to give this filament fewer stars based purely on how much of a pain it is to print with. Without a doubt this and its silver brother are the most frustrating filaments I own - very stringy at most temperatures, poor bed adhesion, high probability of curling - and this is after careful calibration. My failure rate on prints with these two filaments over the month that I've owned them is almost as high as my lifetime printing failure rate without them. The rumors are true: silk PLA is not for weak users. Expect to calibrate and recalibrate several times and expect to have to change those calibrations on a per-print basis for best results.

I’ve had excellent layer adhesion and haven’t run into any clogging or warping problems. It also has a great balance of strength and flexibility, making it perfect for functional parts and decorative items alike. If you're looking for a high-quality filament that adds a professional, eye-catching touch to your 3D prints, I highly recommend this **Silk Gold PLA**. It’s quickly become one of my go-to filaments for projects that need that extra bit of sparkle and shine!

Excellent filament!
Very easy to print with, great bed adhesion and a beautiful, shiny finish. So good that I bought another one. It printed this articulated dragon without a single hiccup.

Flawless Printing Experience with Metallic Silver PLA Filament
I recently had the opportunity to use this metallic silver PLA filament, and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations, prompting me to give it a full five-star rating. As an avid 3D printing enthusiast, I've experimented with numerous types of filaments, but this one truly stands out for its exceptional quality and performance.First and foremost, the melting behavior of this filament is remarkable. It melts consistently, which is crucial for bonding each layer effectively. This feature alone makes it superior, as it ensures the durability and integrity of the prints. For those who have experienced issues with filament bonding in the past, this product could very well be your solution. One of the most impressive aspects of this filament is how smoothly it flows. This characteristic greatly contributes to an incredibly smooth and uniform first layer, which is often a make-or-break factor in the world of 3D printing. A well-laid first layer sets the foundation for the rest of the build, and this filament delivers flawlessly in that regard. In addition to its functional excellence, the aesthetic aspect of the filament should not be overlooked. The metallic silver shine it imparts to the prints is not only realistic but also visually stunning. It adds a professional touch to the objects, making this filament a fantastic choice for projects where appearance is paramount. Check out the cool laptop stand I was able to make with it.Furthermore, the filament’s adherence to the bed plate is commendable. Proper adhesion is vital to prevent warping and to maintain the precision of the print throughout the process. This filament maintains strong bed adhesion, minimizing common issues associated with lesser-quality filaments.Overall, this metallic silver PLA filament is one of the better PLA filaments I've worked with. It strikes the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics, making it an excellent choice for both amateur and professional 3D printing projects. Whether you are creating simple household items or intricate models, this filament will likely elevate the quality of your work, ensuring crisp, clean, and reliable prints every time. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their 3D printing experience.

Hard to work with
The silver metallic silk filament looks absolutely beautiful when it comes out right, but is very difficult to work with. You have to slow the print way down, lower fan speed and increase nozzle temperature. I’m printing at 235 degrees.Even when you do everything right it’s prone to clogging and is not as strong as typical PLA. Every imperfection is very noticeable on silk PLA. It’s good for certain statues and figurines, but I would not use it for anything that requires any strength at all.Honestly I don’t think I’d buy it again, not because of the brand, but because of how weak all metallic silk PLA tends to be. It’s not beginner friendly.
