My service animal is a little chihuahua/toy fox terrier mix, with a rather long neck, and it fits her well. She’s bigger than the average chihuahua, I’d say her neck is more Jack Russel size around. There is TONS of strapping on it for bigger dogs, but the unit itself is small and not heavy at all.Charging it is easy and it lasts a long time. She doesn’t wear it in the house (anymore) we only use it when we’re out, so that may be why. She gets so excited to be at work and get out of the car that she yips in a terrible scream noise, and I couldn’t take it anymore. Two times with this going off (once) and it put an end to that. She’s also stopped barking at everyone coming home every day. She is highly trainable but it really is a deterrent.It’s really changed the one con of her being out with me, because other than the excited to get out of the car screaming, she’s fantastic at her job. I’m also glad it doesn’t have the electric shock (and has never had to vibrate once, but it wouldn’t be that bad), and the beep is enough to stop the behavior.Highly recommend!

So far the collar has been effective. I have two concerns though. One is that I do have a very small dog, about 10 lbs. When I first went to adjust the size of the collar, I did not want to shorten it as I wanted to be sure I would keep it. However, there was too much excess and it impaired the functionality of the collar so I had to shorten it. Eventually I got it to fit but I had to cut a lot. Now I fear that as my dog grows, I won't be able to adjust the size of the collar to fit him. I wish I could get an extra length of collar in case I need it.Secondly, my dog is a puppy just 7 months. While he is getting much better about barking, he gets into fits when the barking/whining causes successive bouts of beeping and vibration. He frantically looks around trying to find the source. At those times, I have to remove the collar for awhile to calm him down. I will later put it on again and he is fine. It has helped a lot and hopefully over time it will carry over into acceptable behavior!

So we got this for our dog (dachshund) that seems to like barking at night when everyone is in bed. I charged it without any issues. Adjusted it to fit our dog as the directions instructed. Our dog started barking more and adding in a howl with the vibrations. We let this go on for about an hour and a half without any improvement. At that point we surrendered and removed the collar. Clearly wasn’t effective for our dog. One thing to note about this collar is that the green power LED is crazy bright! It was a beacon in the night and we don’t know if this was freaking the dog out having such a bright light under his head. We had high hopes for this, but it is being returned.

I was very excited to buy this collar for my puppy German shepherd mix. For starters one thing I did like about the collar was that the battery lasted a very long time I’ve had this a little over two months I bought this January 9 and I didn’t have to charge it because the battery was still good until a couple days ago when the lights were going dim. One thing I did notice though was that overtime the collar did stretch out a little bit. We went for a bike ride today and the collar was fully charged and I noticed that one side of the collar was not lighting up and would flicker on and off. Once I would take it off of her I would shake it and then it would go back on and then go off again .I am very disappointed because I was looking at the other reviews and I did notice that other people had the same problem as well. I can’t return it because it’s too late. I really don’t wanna buy a new one because I feel that the same problem will happen again I just think that it was made with cheap lights. I really liked it for the night time when we would go on walks or for bike rides especially to have it for cars to see them. It was fun while it lasted but I will be looking into buying a different brand.

Have only had it on the dog about 12 hours and his barking is 90% gone. It seems to be a good value I hope it lasts a long time. The instructions need to be translated better you have to read between the lines.

I bought this and was worried it would be too heavy for my 17 pound dog, but it was not, nor was it too bulky. I do not leave it on her all the time but ONLY put it on at night when she needs to go out by herself through the dog door and not bark for 20 minutes and make all the neighbors angry. I only put it on her for just her time out and then I take it back off again when she gets back to bed. She stops before the 2nd beep now, knowing that the buzz is NOT agreeable to her. I take her regular collar on and off and mess with that daily too so she hopefully does not know the difference with me putting on her bark collar and hopefully won't associate it with the beep. She still barks up a racket during the day at every squirrel and bird (because she is not wearing her bark collar) but I'm hoping she'll learn soon that barking at night is not allowed. When she is wearing at night now, she has been silent!!!! Much better for everyone!! The only thing that was a small problem in the beginning was the little indicator light on the piece to show it is charged. When she moved around, the light would shine on the wall or floor and she's a little nutty and chases the light (OCD thing with this breed). But I solved that issue and put a small piece of tape with a bit of card stock blocking the light led, so it is no problem now.

Didn't work

We bought this for a 2 year old mini schnauzer who was getting into the habit of nuisance barking.Works well because she reacts to it while we aren't right with her to correct her from barking. We don't put it on her all the time, about 10% time when she is in an environment where she is triggered to bark.It holds the charge for a very long time.

Heavy duty collar. Nice and bright. Light lasted 6 months but than gave the dog a shower with it on by mistake and now the light is dead.

It's good quality. The band is thick and chunky on my 9lb mini pinscher but I have not been able to find a thin collar for him so this will suffice.
