Product is as described. You can dim it to a point where is barely illuminates the wall and floor at the outlet and doesn't bounce light off of objects in the room. At it's brightest, it is quite bright and really too bright for a night light in a bedroom. There is no absolute 'off' via a switch, however. The light sensor turns it off when a room light or window shade is open. Just understand it will always be on in a dark room. I'm pleased with it and do recommend it if you're looking for a dimmable night light.

I love this night light! It is very versatile. I love that it dims and has multiple colors, a remote and even remembers the last setting. I am returning it though, because I thought it was automatic- there is no motion or light sensor on the multicolor, dimmable, remote control one. The original one I searched was automatic, but when I clicked on this one in other options I didn't realize it wasn't. There were multiple options listed and as far as I can see, this is the only one without dusk to dawn. There is one other one similar to this, but it is missing the dimmer and I wanted a light that was able to dim more than most night lights as I'm one of those people who walks around in the dark at night so my brain doesn't wake up. I'm actually sad I'm returning it, but really wanted that feature.

Amber color is bright enough to find my way and soft enough I can go right back to sleep in the middle of the night. Solid construction.

These night lights give the room such great ambiance. The fact that they are adjustable is a bonus. The pink light is so calming and just compliments the entire room!!! This was a very good choice!!

It is a good night light but not the best. There is not motion detection and the light basic is only in front.I don't recommend.

Good for late night trips to the bathroom without running your vision. The adjustability is a nice feature

I have these in my bathrooms and my office. They do not have motion detection and are always on. That's the only downside. Otherwise, the light is adjustable and even the brightest is not overwhelming.

Kids love that they can change up the colors. The white setting is quite bright - too much for our liking, although good for a child that wants a brighter room to sleep in. Overall, works well and provides nice flexibility on the colors. Glad there were two in the package, as once one kid had one, the other absolutely had to have one as well of course
