So, the manufacturer recommends you place a tissue in it, seal it, and submerge it in water for 8 hours. Well, I took it a bit further. I submerged it, weighted under a foot of water (which, I calculated at my altitude and water column at around 14.8 psi) for a total of 48 hours. I disturbed it twice during this time to see whether or not this might cause it to leak. After 48 hours, the tissue was removed as dry as it was when first placed in the case. The case's locking levels are substantial and the case material feels to be thick and durable. The lanyard supplied with it is long enough to put it around your neck or whatever and has a slide on it to tighten up the slack. My 8+ fits in it perfectly and functions as it would outside of the case. Touch screen works fine within the case. iPhone camera feature works fine within the case. No noticeable distortion. And you get two for the price. I will be using the case while fly fishing so we'll see what happens. Hopefully, I won't be disappointed.

UPDATE - Aug 2018My initial review of this case garnered 1 star. It blocked operation of the home button on my iPhone7. (The iP7 has the 'new' non-mechanical home button). The iPhone became pretty much useless without a functional home button. Mpow Customer Service noticed my review, reached out, and sent me a new and improved design. The clear plastic looks and feels the same, and quite frankly I didn't think it would make any difference. But to my pleasant surprise, the home button now works!! The TouchID won't detect thumbprint through the Mpow sleeve (that's to be expected), but the home button will register a 'click' which is all that's needed.I've increased my rating to 5 stars. Mpow also deserves 5 stars for excellent Customer Service-----Original Review:My iPhone7 will fit into the case, but once nestled inside, the home button ceases to function. It won't wake up the phone, nor summon the home page, nor exit from any apps. With the release of the iPhone 7, Apple changed the technology behind the home button from a mechanical switch (click to activate) to a capacitive sensor, combined with haptic feedback to make it feel like it's been 'clicked'. While the plastic Mpow case doesn't impact the operation of the touchscreen, it interferes with the home button sensor. Without a functional home button, operation of my iPhone 7 is problematic. While I can wake it up using the power switch, I can't summon the keypad with which to unlock iOS. Hence the 1-star review.I tried disabling TouchID to see if that would make a difference. It didn't.The Mpow case works fine with my older iPhone 6S (which has the older mechanical switch).

I purchased these for a river float trip. I purchased one for my wife and one for myself. Mine stayed in the dry bag for the entirety but my wife used the lanyard and wore hers around her neck. She jumped in the water a few times forgetting that she had the case on her. The case was fully submerged for a few seconds but no water made it into the case. She also took several group photos and sent several texts without having to take it out of the case. I am very pleased with these cases. We will be taking them with us to the Mexican Riviera next month.FYI. I have an iPhone 6+ in an otter box and it fit in the case just fine.

They worked great for our Cancun trip! I was a little scared, but both of the waterproof cases worked!

I was super afraid to try these live in the water but after (a couple) of sink tests and prayers I took them out. I was able to get some super cool photos and video on my first snorkeling trip. You can also use the phone while its still in the pouch so it was no need to take it out constantly. My only wish was that I had attached the lanyards provided in the more shallow water because I got tired of holding phone in the pouch. Also, because of water pressure underwater you may only be able to use the buttons instead of the screen for pictures or video

I wasn't sure these bag would work so I tested them with an old phone. No water got into the bag. I want to use them on vacation. I was out shoveling snow and was waiting for an important phone call. I normally won't use my phone out in snow or rain but this time I put the phone in the bag and took it out. I was surprised to discover I could answer my phone, make phone calls, and take pictures without having to remove it from the waterproof bag. You can Happy with my purchase!!!

This case is great for taking your phone in the water (like on vacation); however, when the phone was under water in the case we weren't able to snap a picture. This was while snorkeling. Yet when we raised our phones about the water level we had no problem snapping pictures. This was frustrating as we wanted underwater sea life pics. However, the case is waterproof and provides excellent protection.
