Flimsy, but they work. Never connect to servo before setting mode! Always connect battery first!
These have two problems that could be easily solved.1. The cellophane plastic wrapper is very flimsy, that makes up the "body" of the tester. The servo plugs push on hard, and you also "un-wrap" the circuit board every time you push a servo plug onto the pins. It's just a little un-nerving.2. When you connect power to it, DON'T have the servo connected. You need to power it up first, and put it in the correct "Mode" before you connect the servo.I use these to center my flight controls on rc airplanes before I heat-shrink my control rods to the correct length. These servo testers will sometimes automatically go into a mode that runs the servo back and forth from limit to limit very quickly. You don't want that to happen when you plug a battery into the servo tester and trash something on an expensive airplane. I've had it rip control rod attach points off of flight controls. So take this lesson from me. Connect power first. Set the MODE. Connect servo last!

Tiny, cheap, works
Works for testing servos and PWM-controlled electronic speed controls. Would be nice if there were a way to determine if the "manual" knob was set to "idle" before plugging in a device, for example a red/green/orange LED for that position. It would also be nice if there was a way to get from "auto" back to "idle" without passing through "manual" mode. And while we're on the wishlist, a way to change to a different PWM range from 1000-2000us would be nice; some servos do useful things with a 500-2500us range pu lse. But for the price, I'll take it. Overloading more functions onto one button would compromise usability, and adding more buttons would compromise the price.

Super useful if you use servos.
When I first received this tester, it looks so small. But it works great! I was building my first 3d spider robot that used 12 9g servos, and having this on hand help me figure out the neutral points and range of movement. I do wish it had a power switch so that you didn't have to unplug and plug the battery in every time you use it, but that's a minor issue. I'm sure there are other testers that cost more with nore features, but this one is the more than adequate.

Works fine, but no power supply.
This worked just fine when I hooked it to my workbench power supply, but it would have been nice if they'd included a battery box with connector as well, even if it cost a buck or two more. The "case" is also a flimsy, open-ended thing kind of like a matchbox, but it works well enough for what it does. These are actually cheap enough that I can imagine building it into an animated device or display to drive a servo in a sweeping motion without requiring a microcontroller or programming.

Works ok. Wish “windshield wiper mode” worked better.
Worked OK for my project. Unfortunately the “windshield wiper mode” required me to hold down the button. It was my impression that it would have worked by press once instead of press and hold.

When you need it, you need it...
This is one of those things that are worth the investment. Very handy to trouble shoot RC set ups. I thought I had rec. binding issues untill I used this and found it was 3 dead servos. The wiper mode is great to check servo travel. Center mode is great for servo arm positioning. Take out the frustrations and buy it. When you need it, you need it.

Great product
A must have for the rc plane builder I build plans this makes it easy to center your servos just make sure you only plug up one sell off the battery or you might burn it up only rated for 6v
