Fast & Cheap Wireless Internet
I've had this router for about 2 months now. Although shown as refurbished my example was clearly brand new it was well packaged and is a well made item. It comes with rabbit ear antennas which tend to flop about when attached but can be kept in place with a bit of tape. The antennas made little difference to reception in my case.I live about 400 metres from a Three Network mast and can receive up to 315 mbps with this router on 4G without any special aerial atttachments ~ about 10 times faster than my current FTTC connection at less than half the cost. With 2 of us in the house this is certainly fast enough for our needs and renders an investment in expensive 5G routers unnecessary. The wi-fi signal seems quite strong and covers most of a 4 bed house adequately - but it works well with my existing BT Wholehome dishes so coverage is not a problem. On the downside the actual speed is quite variable depending on network usage, although never as slow as the landline. This may also be attributable to ongoing work on the masts near us, so it is a bit early to judge. Also the device is locked to Three, so it is not totally flexible if you were thinking of moving around with it.Combined with a cheap unlimited data SIM deal from a Three reseller, this seems to be a good and inexpensive solution to getting away from expensive broadband contracts if you have good Three Network reception.at home.

Crazy speeds for a 4g router
I bought this because i was using a 5G router wich was amazing until the 5G network went down in my area for "work on masts" wich has been ongoing for a month now with no estimated completion date so i was using my landline broadband wich is out of contract at the end of this month and i never wanted to renew with them as the speeds in my flat are only around 30mbps on a good day and that's fine for watching content or gaming but it's far too slow for downloads.I got this early the next morning and set up was simple just attach the bottom stand and put the two small screws in to secure it then pop in your micro sim (not nano sim like i initially done then realised and had to use something to get it out) then plug in the antennas after removing the caps on the back, plug it into the wall and off you go.The picture showing speeds of 300+ mbps is my 5G router i didn't expect even half of this speed since 4g for the most part is a lot slower however i was shocked to see how fast it actually was! for the record i use a Smarty uk sim card on an unlimited data plan wich costs me £10 less per month than my landline broadband did and as you can see in the pictures the speeds are very good, mostly 150+mbps some hitting or going over 200mbps even during peak times it doesn't slow down much. For comparison i had tried a 4g tp-link router before with the same simcard and got around 20mbps dropping to 6-8mbps at night. I have attached a picture that shows a couple of speed runs on my talktalk landline for comparison.as of tomorrow i won't have any landline internet and i'm not concerned about it at all as i know it's very rare that 4G goes down and i'm happy with my choice. landline infrastructure in a lot of areas is extremely poor for 2023, they need to start properly upgrading it and making it wortwhile because when 5G is available in more places it will make far more sense to use a mobile router than have a landline. The only issue i had was one of the antennas won't stay up so i've used tape to hold it in place as can be seen in the pictures, besides that the item was in excellent condition looked almost new even.I recommend this if you have good signal in your area beware though you will be tied into 3, Smarty or Id mobile sim cards so check signal coverage. Strangely the three masts in my area seem to be better than any other network and with me being in a top floor flat (4 floors up) i have nothing blocking my signal outwith trees.I won't go back to landline internet until gigabit is readily available and at a sensible price but given that Openreach are upgrading all around me but not my flat then i doubt i'll ever be going back to a landline. people can't afford to pay through the roof for low quality internet when better speeds can be had for cheaper. Plenty of countries have had gigabit and faster for years now and we're seriously lacking in that department.thanks for reading my review :D

Absolutely terrible!
This is an old device. It's on the large side, it only takes older (bigger) SIM cards and not the more recent Nano SIM cards. It's also slow to power up, the signal was shocking, and you can't change between 3G and 4G (if, in our case, we have a very fast 3G signal, but a really slow 4G signal). Also the antennas on the back are designed terribly - they don't screw in very well, and on our specific unit, one of them was damaged.I've returned this today and absolutely would not recommend! My recommendation: Stick with TP Link and pay a bit more for a newer device!

It Works
Using this as backup internet on iD mobile. It works fine and gave me a slight increase in speed over the portable router I was using before. Three signal is just not great in my area but that is no fault of the product.1 star take off for the flimsy antennas as they don’t stay in place.

not as great as some reviews say
I cant get a decent 4g signal on this, no matter where i put it. A three uk phone right beside it has full bars of 4g, but the router can only get two bars. It seems fast enough though, compared to the home broadband we used to use. The WiFi signal around the house isn't great, so we have to use extenders. For the price i guess it's ok. But i wouldn't get another if this one stopped working.

Amazing Portable Wifi
Great item. Using in our caravan as there is no wifi on the site. Streaming work great and kids can play their favourite games.
