The stainless steel container to buy!
After getting about 3 different brand of stainless steel with the similar lid, Mighty Hippo is it. The lids snapped on easily, like how it would snapped if it was a glass container, I did not have to fidget with it or align it a certain way or use excessive force. The lid fit and snapped on and that is that. The container measurement while in ML can be a bit inconvenient as I'd have to convert it to cups/oz etc, but they are good size and actually offer more size varieties than the other standard set of 3 of 5/12/32oz. I also like that I can buy them individually and only getting the sizes I need. My kitchen now only has glass or stainless steel containers. Glassware for when husband and I pack our own lunch to microwave at work, stainless steel for when we go on picnics on the weekend with the kiddo, or snack fruits/nuts etc in the backpack when we are out at the park with the kiddo. The glass containers were just a bit too heavy when you pack a 2 adult and 1 toddler picnic lunch.These lids were also a lot easier to open compared to the other air right lid, the other air tight lid I have to really use force and be very careful opening other wise i could spill the contents when the lid is finally freed from the rim. A few times in the park I lost a few blue berries/raspberries b/c of this. The lid being so air tight also means its hard for my daughter to open it, which did not help with my parenting philosophy of allowing her independence and autonomy. We still use the air tight stainless steel containers, b/c they are a great size, but if i had discovered mighty hippo first I would have bought no other brands or stainless steel with other types of lids.
