Micronized Instant Kava Powder-Fijian Kava (1oz)

I tried this for the first time as an alternative to alcohol, which I usually end up reaching for in the evenings. This was my first experience with kava, so I wanted something easy and not intimidating. This fit the bill perfectly.This was extremely easy to prepare. Upon opening the bag, I was impressed with the pleasant herbal smell. It almost smelled faintly of licorice. I dropped 1 tsp into an 8 oz glass of diet ginger beer, and mixed. It looked like bubbly mud (bubbly from the carbonated drink, mud because kava is a root). Kava is notorious for its unpleasant taste. Of course I drank this mixed into ginger beer, so that helped. But I found the taste quite pleasant and had no trouble drinking it this way. I could easily have mixed in a second teaspoon into my glass. Kava is most often chugged in small doses, spaced 20-30 min apart or so. Not wanting to overdo it with kava since this was my first time, I proceeded with caution. I had one dose at a time, sipped it slowly, and observed the experience. Effects were felt immediately. I mean that within 5-10 minutes I could physically feel it. I felt really chill, almost felt warmth spreading to my extremities like when you get a buzz. Always a skeptic, I thought maybe this is a placebo effect. But I carried on. At this point, I was finishing up some tasks I’d been working on, and while I was of course fully able to do them, I felt a craving to go sit on the couch or lay in bed and relax. That’s when the magic happened.2 hours after my first glass, I prepared a second glass in exactly the same way. I took a nice swig, set the glass on my nightstand, and crawled into bed. I felt a stronger craving to be relaxed, quiet, snuggly. I have a small star projector in my room and I felt extremely content to just lay in bed and watch slowly fade in and out. At that point, I received a phone call from a friend. Carried on a normal conversation, but felt extremely peaceful and content. I felt my anxiety melting away. Any thoughts about stressful topics or events could come and go, but I didn’t worry about them. I just thought “Everything will be ok.” Eventually I drifted off for a short nap. For the rest of the evening, I felt content and alert, but only wanting to engage in quiet, peaceful activities.Overall, I was impressed by my experience with this kava. The package says only that it’s a product of Fiji—other brands often list the specific variety of kava because they all have unique effects. This brand does not list the variety, so I suspect the quality is not quite on par with other instant kavas you can find for the same price. BUT, if you are looking for an easily accessible kava to try and see if you like the kava experience in general, then this product is a solid choice. I was really pleased with my experience and look forward to exploring the world of kava.

Surprised by this kava. Helping me so much to relax and for sleep. It’s a grounding kava, not euphoric, which is what I wanted. It doesn’t taste good. I recommend adding coconut water or some juice with sparkling water. I will definitely order again. It mixes easily and quickly with water and a spoon.

This instant kava is good overall it does the job but just keep in mind the $9 one ounce bag isn't really worth it because it's the size of a sample pack and it's gone as soon as you open it for $9 it's better to get a bottle of capsules if your going to get this instant kava better to fork out $33 for the 4 ounce bag or more for a even bigger one.

First time ever trying kava, first of all the back of the package has 3 different instructions with typos that make it even more unclear if you should be using a tablespoon, teaspoon, or X grams.I started off with 5 grams, tastes terrible. No effect whatsoever. As this is my first time trying this and I am a small person, I have zero tolerance so this was a little disappointing. Additional 5g... still nothing.Next day I tried 15g and felt some tingling in my mouth and a little relaxed maybe.I tried 20g the following day to the same disappointing effect. Package has a little over 100 grams so for the price it is simply not worth it and in comparison to Kalm which I also purchased and tried just yesterday.. the quality and strength of this product sucks.

It works for anxiety, it calms your nerves down great kava for the money, it’s not euphoric I’ve never had a kava that actually is but grounding and calming yes , Kratom works for pain if it’s available to you

This is a good kava for relaxing and going to sleep.

Arrived early and the product is extremely easy to administrator. Definitely would recommend and purchase again. 👌

Seller was good, sent item fast, but the product just isn't what I was expecting, tastes horrible and it didn't do much for me.
