Why one star? I submitted a question hoping the manufacturer would respond. They did not. Many users have submitted product reviews regarding the filters being too tall for the cover to latch. Some cut away part of the gasket material and some tried other means, most were worried of creating a poor seal that would permit dirt to bypass the filter media. It is inexcusable, at least to my knowledge, that the seller has not responded. If Zhong AN is not the manufacturer, they should be able to get the manufacturer involved in the discussion. In the meantime, for those of you having this issue of being unable to get the three tangs of the outer cover to engage, here is a suggestion you might find useful. Remove the outer cover and remove the filter. Put a piece of masking tape on the inner housing so that it is somewhat under where the edge of the outer coverall end up. Put the outer cover on without the filter element(it will be loose). With all three tangs of the outer cover engaged and latched, carefully mark the masking tape directly under the leading edge of the outer cover. Now put the new filter in place, line up the tangs, and see how much you will need to compress the new filter/gasket, using the mark you made on the masking tape, to be able to latch the housing. I did not have the strength to compress it all at once and I needed to work my way around the housing compressing part of it at a time. I also had to put a wrench on the inner housing base because with the softer metal of my compressor head I did not want it tightening further and splitting the head. With the wrench holding the base steady I was able(barely) to compress the gasket the needed amount to latch the outer housing.
