Pool Pump
Our 1 year old $1500 Hayward Variable Pump went out because the electronic board was fried and we replaced it with this 2 speed pump. My husband was able to replace it and it is running smoothly as of now! Very Satisfied!

This pool pump has so far passed my expectations.
My husband and I replaced our old Hayward pump that died after replacing the centurion motor 3 yrs ago. We took a chance on this XtremepowerUS pump that had good reviews & the price was awesome. We first purchased the pump that was 2hp with a 240 voltage & we had to send it back for a refund because it overheated & even the water in basket was hot. Something told me to look at my old pump to see what the voltage & HP was it was 1.0 hp & 230/115 voltage. I repurchased the same pump with a 1.5 hp & 230 voltage we installed it a week ago, pressure is strong & it prime in seconds so far so good & I was also able to work my Polaris pool cleaner with no problem. So far I’m impressed & happy with my purchase & the price is amazing. The key is to replace with the same voltage & close to the same HP the only reason I didn’t purchase the 1.0 hp is that pump states it only works on spas & not inground pools.

Very loud. Not the best customer service.
Bought this pump back in April of 2025. Had it professionally installed. Worked great for about 2 months, its gotten so loud I can only run the pump on low speed. I think the bearings are going out. I've tried contacting the manufacture, sat on hold for 30+minutes to no end. Sent them an email, said it would take 48 hours for a response. Nothing yet. Hopefully I can get some response and a replacement soon.

So far so good after 1 week
I don’t think I’ve ever written a positive review, but so far this pump deserves it. Only installed 1 week so far, but is working great both high speed and low speed are quiet and run the pool vacuum well. I’m considering buying another to keep as spare since I can purchase this for $180-$200 vs my local pool store charging $1,200 to $2,000 for the same pump performance.

looks very well built!
My installer saw my current piping (barely any exposed PVC, mostly couplings!) and strongly recommended replacing the motor on my existing 18YO pump rather than installing this one. So, I'll be returning it, but at least I want to provide my initial impressions. You do need a professional install to get the full warranty.Other reviews talked about poor documentation. I bought a single-voltage 220 unit so there was no "red" in the documentation, but the high quality coated paper with B/W documentation was very well written an seemed through. The docs were not some poorly translated document. It recommended 220V GFCI breakers... I didn't know they exist (but they do!)The pump itself appears solid and very well made. It included the 1.5" coupling and o-rings and has threads if you prefer a threaded connection. (coupler is better!)I've made a note of this brand, and will most certainly give it a shot for major equipment.

Works Good So Far
I was a bit skeptical about getting a pump at this price after going to pool stores in my area and pricing them out. I don't have the extra cash at the moment, and I needed it quick seeing my dinosaur of a pump went out during the night. It took almost a week to get it, and it came with the 1 1/2" fittings which was nice. I did have to hard wire it, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The most frustrating part was the piping. This pump is about 1" shorter than my other pump, so I have to find a thicker piece of concrete and a rubber mat to get it up to the right height. After 2 weeks, it is running nicely. I went from a 1hp to this 1.5 HP, so I have better suction when I vacuum now. The dual power is really night.

Worked As Advertised
This pump was a last-minute replacement for a Hayward pump that died after 7 years. We needed a pump quickly to finish out the swim season and this one was the only one available on short notice. I swapped it out in less than 30 minutes and had the pool water clear by the next day. It continued to run fine for the next month until I closed the pool for the season. I can't say how long it will last, but for the price and for the quick delivery It can't be beat. I plan to continue running it next Spring and for as long as it lasts. I will note that the pump parts are lighter weight plastic than the Hayward and there is more noise (cheaper bearings??), but for the price it's a winner.

May Need to Change Pump brands
We purchased and installed this pool pump on September 24, 2024, just before we closed our pool for the winter. We opened the pool on April 28, 2025 so this pump has literally run for about two weeks at this point. The pump sounds as if it has already got a bearing going out. I have emailed the company to see what recourse we have.
