Coiltek 14x9 inch DD Search Coil for Minelab CTX 3030 Metal Detector

I like the coil for reasonable coverage, it is very heavy and doesn't balance well.It also pinpoints toward the end of the coil. The(protective wire shield- that goes over the wire at the lower shaft entry point for the cable that connects to the head of the unit) was cut open by the shaft opening after only two trips out or less than 5 hours of use. Overall 400 bucks for what I believe will result in maybe another 5 to 10 more hours of use before the coil is severed to the point that it may totally fail. 10 hrs use $395.00 + tax @ 7% maybe it should come with a shaft that accommodates it's requirements.
