One of the Best, Even Better
A few years ago we were looking for a video baby monitor to keep tabs on our first grandchild while she slept at our house. I discovered the original Nooie 360 and quickly realized that it was an amazing value. I’ve had professional experience in video production, computers and security devices. The 360 had many features and performed better than devices costing many times as much.Recently I became aware of a “New and Improved” model and was asked to review it as well. From the posted specifications the changes seem to fall into three main areas.1. The color of the device changed from white to black.2. The camera is improved3. I had read somewhere that this camera supports the 5 ghz WiFi band. This information was in error. The value of these other improvements are explained as follows.1. The black color helps hide the device in a darkened room. Our granddaughter, now age 6, complained about the camera watching her. In my opinion she is far less likely to notice the black camera. The original camera had enabled us to see her escape from her pack n play and find a set of permanent markers and decorate the side of her pack n play. We were able to stop her before she graduated to the walls and remove the markers from her possession.2. The new camera has improved night vision and resolution. These improvements will make a great product even better. Let me quickly mention some of the things that make this camera a great choice. First, it is a very good camera. It does well in low light and does a fair job with audio as well. The camera can be mounted upside down and the image inverted through software for ceiling mounting, a great advantage. The features are great. You also get a choice of local storage and/or cloud storage. Local storage requires a mini SD card which is sold separately. The new model supports up to 128 gb SD cards. I always prefer local storage, but it’s nice to have the option.Weaknesses:Yeah, there are a few. Control and monitoring is limited to smartphones and some tablets. There are apps for both Android and Apple. What’s missing are a Windows and a Mac App. I would love that plus the ability to record on the PC’s media. The ability to use an external microphone would also be great. Where am I headed with all this?I put myself through college by videotaping counseling sessions at a local university. Years later I was videotaping focus groups for an advertising agency. In both instances a camera like this would have freed me from this boring task. Nooie is about 90% there. The camera’s image quality is excellent. The ability to follow movement may be a bit choppy for broadcast, but is more than acceptable for observations. The microphone sound quality is reasonable. All that is needed is the ability to observe and record on a laptop. The range of motion on the tilt function could be a bit better, especially when the camera is mounted on the ceiling. The SD card slot access and location leaves a lot to be desired. I had one SD card miss the mark on the original cameras and fall inside the device. It’s still in there somewhere. It doesn’t seem to be interfering with the operation of the camera. The camera lacks a physical shutter to cover the lense. The software is much improved, but still could be better. In conclusion, the camera is still an outstanding value. The new release is an improvement over the original. This is still a great value and I’ve given Nooie 360 Cameras as gifts and highly recommend them.

THIS IS YOUR SIGN - Baby Monitor!
If you're looking for a baby monitor that has a very good quality and on top of it affordable - this is your sign to get this one!I was tired of the regular baby monitor that kept disconnecting and a family member told me about these wifi connected cameras so I didn't think much of it and bought this one. To my surprise that it works amazingly well! Not only when you're connected to the same wifi by the way, so I even check on the baby while I am running on the treadmill at the gym and daddy is on baby duty. It's very easy to set up and connect to your phone, you can give access to other people BUT the thing I like the most is that I still have full control of the camera, meaning no one can turn it on or off but me.On top of it all the design is pretty unique, I decided to go for black which I love! Comes with screws and a mount for the wall or anywhere you’d want it!Oh and if you have cats and you're looking for an automatic feeder, Nooie's got you!Honestly, if you read all of this and haven't purchased the camera, I don't know what you're waiting for.

Great upgrade from original 360 Cam! Clearer and faster
The media could not be loaded. First of I want to say that I have many Nooie products. I am a big fan of their ecosystem even when compared to big tech companies' alternatives. The way the cameras can pan and move is unrivaled compared to even the most expensive Nest or Ring cameras, and the 360 Cam 2 is no exception. It is noticably faster and has higher video quality than it's already highly capable predecessor (the Original 360 Cam). These two qualities alone are worth the price of admission for the 360 Cam 2 relative to the original 360 Cam.I am in the process of changing some of my existing 360 Cams to 360 Cam 2's because they really are better and worth the upgrade (if it is for home security). If you are using your 360 Cam for watching pets, babies, or even a 3D printer (like I do) then the original 360 cam will be more than enough for those needs. For my needs, I require our cameras to be ceiling mounted and to have the capability to keep watch over larger areas so higher resolution cameras are a must. As a bonus, the 360 Cam 2 has noticably faster panning and movement speed compared to the 360 Cam. Those are the 2 main differences over the original 360 Cam and you can refer to my review of that one to see why I like the original one so much as well. The night vision is very responsive and fast, so you don't have to worry about no light or low light issues. Overall, the 360 Cam 2 is more than worth the price of admission and other companies would charge double the price for the same features.TLDR (too long, didn't read) Version: The 360 Cam 2 has very high quality and resolution playback with extremely fast panning speeds. The ability to mount it upside down and directly on the ceiling is the biggest selling point for me and my needs as security cameras. That is the best way to watch the most area and the ability to pan only makes it that much better. If you don't need the higher quality and faster panning, or don't need it for use as a security camera then the original 360 Cam is sufficient for those needs. The 360 Cam 2 is a great unit at a reasonable cost so do not hesitate to get one (or more) if you feel that it fulfills your needs.
