Decoart Satin Enamels Acrylic Paint, 8 fl. Oz Jar, Honey Gold (Pack of 1)

This paint is amazing! I bought it after reading an article on painting cabinets and it has not disappointed. It self levels and dries to a matte and hard finish. It’s paint so while there is the chance it’ll scratch off over time, I haven’t seen this in just over a month of daily use. It dries very quickly and applies easily with a foam roller. I did 3 coats for coverage but could have gotten away with 2. Between the cabinet doors and the island itself, it took about 3-4 of these little containers for 3 coats of coverage. Definitely worth the money!

The product works well with other colors and you can can use it with different products to achieve different effects.

I started painting my kitchen cabinets with this paint and found it really great to work with. As others have mentioned it’s easy to control, no dripping or splatters, goes on easily and evenly, levels itself well, and seems to be durable.I did find when I got towards the end of the jar the paint thickened somewhat and went on less well. So be aware of that and thin it if necessary. While I am primarily using the gray I’ve cut it with a bit of white, and the white was quite a bit thicker than the gray for some reason. Maybe it was an older batch? Not sure.Unlike some people I have found that it adheres better without primer, at least on my oak kitchen cabinets. Not sure why. If I were doing a lighter color like the white, I would prime anyway so that there is no bleed through, especially on oak. However with the darker gray, I’m not so worried about that.This paint has a nice sheen to it, and although my project is still in process it feels like it will hold up aswell, as other people have reported.The only issue is the seller just carelessly threw all 10 jars in a cardboard box, with one pathetic little air bubble for cushioning. The box was damaged, and a couple of the jars broke open in transit, spilling the paint all over the rest of the jars.So in short, would definitely buy this paint again, and would never use that seller again.

I love the paint itself but the color was greener than the blue I anticipated. I used it as it took longer than expected to deliver. It turned out beautifully and mixed in with my colors anyway! The bathroom cabinet was around 50 years old. Now it looks almost brand new.

Gets the job done

I bought 3 at a go, Amazon shipped it fast. I was so excited to try this out for acrylic pours, and even though I patiently picked new bottles only, what arrived was 2 torn exterior bottles, and I thought, it's alright, I can deal with flaws. but when I used it however, the paints are horrible! 2 out of 3 experienced severe breaking that is unfixable, no amount of stirring helps. One last bottle, the one with no exterior faults of any sort performed better, closer to what i consider borderline acceptable.I'm attaching each bottle's performance in a picture respectively, and have asked other people who have used this paints, and apparently not many encounter this issue, but as you can see, it's unacceptable. The white breaks apart like the binder has totally failed, and no amount of coaxing it with floetrol, PVA, or water will help these paints mix well and not break. These paint's aren't exactly cheap enough to buy and forget and at their price point, I never thought it was possible that AMAZON or Decoart would sell bad paints or what I think, look like returned paint bottles. Super disappointing, frustrating and upsetting, and I am not inclined to ever purchase another bottle again. I now have 2 unusuable bottles that I don't know what to do with. Shame on you Decoart

I like the color. I used it to paint outdoor planters.

During the pandemic, these were impossible to get my hands on. I was trying to come up with a good working Pouring medium for Pearl fluid art. I did come up with a different recipie using a special paint in my PM that works well. Finally getting my hands on this product makes it much easier.

Utilisé pour provoquer des cellules dans mes peintures pouring.Mon 1 er essai m’a bluffée même si je ne maîtrise pas encore très bien les dosages.Je reprendrais sûrement malgré un prix un peu cher pour mon budget.

Le produit n’était pas conforme, de piètre qualité et partiellement rempli.

Fantastic paint. Could not do without it. I mix it with acrylic white for my paintings. Give it a go. Creates cloud cells and effect.
