Please be sore to read owners manual
I looked everywhere for the perfect iron, read a lot of reviews and landed on this. I love making 4 waffles at once rather than one at a time, especially with 4 kids. The waffles are good sized, my 2 & 4 year old can only eat one in the morning. I like to make a big batch and freeze for the week. The waffles fit perfectly in the toaster for reheating too!The light doesn’t turn off/on when the waffle is estimated to be done, but the instructions say to wait until the steam stops and that’s when the waffle is done cooking. I am one of those people that checks on them a lot while cooking and haven’t had any issues opening and closing it better getting stuck. You only need to spray with butter once while doing small batches. The plates are super easy to remove and clean. I’d recommend sticking to hand washing to avoid excessive wear and tear on them and to assure longevity. Dishwashers are terrible for things like this but they are technically dishwasher safe. I also only hand wash my air fryer despite it being dishwasher safe 🤷🏻♀️I’ve had this waffle iron for awhile (at least 6-8 months) so it’s not that I just opened the box, used one and reviewed.Favorite part is that it’s easy to store! Cord has a place to wrap it up when not using, and slim design makes it easy to tuck into any shelf it cupboard. If you’re looking for something to mass produce waffles in a timely manner this is it!

I really wanted to keep this waffle maker, BUT ... (update)
First, let me say that I purchased this product not only to make regular waffles but chaffles and paffles as well. Though I received the item with dents or blemishes to it's top brushed stainless finish (please see included photo), I decided to try it out anyway. I found the thickness of the waffles it made during my tests were thinner than a regular Belgium waffle. This was actually just ideal for the chaffles and paffles that I planned to make. It performed this purpose well, so that was great. It was easy to use and over all clean up was a breeze. Though not perfectly, it even did an acceptable job evenly browning the chaffles and paffles. I was beginning to love this waffle maker and seriously considered keeping it, in spite of the cosmetic blemish on its top stainless finish, because in the end it served my purpose.BUT ...After about the 3rd use, I began to hear a series of popping noises emanating from the waffle maker. At first, I really didn't think that it would be an issue. I just figured the unit was just going through an adjustment period and would soon settle down to its previously normal quiet operation. To my dismay, the popping noises became louder and more numerous and had I not been diligent in cleaning my unit thoroughly after each use, I would have missed the fact that the waffle hot plates were showing signs of warping and separation of its edges from it's protective plastic clam shell enclosure. This gaps were more noticeable at the rear corners of the unit (please see included photos). With each subsequent use, the space became more and more pronounced. Cleaning any spilled batter from the sides became harder to manage. I began to wonder if any of that overflow batter and oil could have entered the inner workings of the waffle maker and if it might pose a problem for me in the future. So I decided to find out.Upon further investigation ...My fears were confirmed. No seal or gasket exists between the hot plates and the clam shell enclosure. Nothing was designed into the product to catch, separate and remove any overflow buildup that managed to seep into the ever widening gaps. Once I discovered puddles of grease already accumulating within the lower half of the plastic enclosure (please see included photos) at very close proximity to the heating element, I began to feel uneasy about continuing to use the product. To me, it seemed like a potential fire hazard. In conclusion ...In spite of the fact that this is internationally rated as an ETL Intertek (China) product (please see included photo), which is supposedly means that it is compliant with our North American UL rating standard, this is a design flaw that only the manufacturer can resolve. I chose not take any risks or chances so I ordered another brand of waffle maker and have reluctantly returned this product back to Amazon.Update ...Since I published my review of this product, I have been contacted by a representative of the FirstBuy company (Johnny) on numberous occasions to offer their apologies for my dissatisfaction with the product and to discuss some of my suggestions as to how to improve on the safety of their 4 slice waffle maker. In a message relayed to me prior to writing this update from their representative, Johnny:"We will operate these adopted recommendations on the next new production batch of waffle makers to reduce the occurrence of such things. We would like to thank you once again for your suggestions. If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to make them and we will consider them carefully and study their feasibility."As a consumer, I was impressed and moved by their representative's statement. Now whether they are able to implement any improvements in their next model production is yet to be seen. A gracious offer to replace the unit I had was even made, however; since I was no longer in possession of the waffle maker, it wasn't something that I could readilly accept. So far, if a rating for customer care and service could be a consideration here, it would seem that may be one of the best I have experienced yet. Since this is only a product review of the present model I received, used and subsequently returned ... reluctantly my previous rating still stands.

Quick. Easy.
We’ve had a double Belgian waffle maker for about 30 years, but it was very slow when we were trying to feed three generations. This waffle maker is fast and simple. The waffles are not as deep as our old one- they’re more like the frozen waffles in the store. That being said, it makes four waffles like champ.I haven’t tried it without, but hitting it with a shot of PAM spray each time makes it very easy.

It worked for my cheese waffles
So I wanted to make cheese waffles so I decided to get this maker cause it has 4 spots as a pose to some that only have 2 but it comes out of the box ready to use so you don’t need to put anything together I just was not sure if you need to put on oil before you put the waffle mix on it so I just smeared oil and it worked within 5 minutes which is pretty fast in my opinion they were ready and cause the top and bottom both have heaters you don’t need to flip it and it comes right off but it is hard to tell when it’s ready so you need to keeping opening it and closing it back cause you don’t want to burn it but besides for that everything worked and did the job…

Great waffle maker
Works like a charm! Heats up quickly, nonstick makes it pretty much mess free. Just wipe down afterwards and put it away.No complaints here! Nothing super fancy but gets the job done. Would buy again!

Very useful
The big size and four slots helps to create multiple waffles at same time. The seller was good enough to send few pointers on how to maintain and clean the waffles maker. It can stand upright to when not being used which saves so much space. Definitely will recommend.

Simple and VERY easy to use.
When I read the reviews on a product, and MOST purchasers love it, I wonder about the very small amount of people who gave a One Star review. Pilot Error comes to mind immediately. This product works great. You plug it in and the Red light comes on.When the griddle is up to proper temperature, the green light comes on,You add the batter and wait for the green light to come on again. How in the world do you cause a crash? And then complain???
