Why haven’t I done this sooner?!
This stuff is awesome and it looks so natural! This is the first time we’ve ever painted grass and I’m wondering why we waited so long. Our water bill is over $300 a month and the lawn still looks like crap because of the heat. It has been such an eyesore. This paint was our last resort before pulling it all out and pouring tan bark.IWe had to be careful not to overspray onto the concrete. We used cardboard along the edges as a shield. It easily washes off skin but not concrete.

Very nice
I would have liked a bigger bottle. I feel like whenever a product says you can use it for X amount it's always a little more than hyperbole. If something says it's good for 1,000 square feet it's probably more like 500. So, I'm running out faster than expected. If you want a nice darker healthier looking green then you'll need to use more. Yeah, if your grass is dead and yellow, you can give it a slight green tint and get 1,000sqft or more even. But if you want it to look like nice, natural grass you'll need to use more.I do my best with my lawn but my thumb isn't green. I water it. I seed it. I use miracle grow. I'll freshen up the soil. And I'll still have bare spots or dead patches occasionally. So, this helps me cheat and it works pretty well with my backpack sprayer.I'd definitely get it again but I wish it came in a bigger bottle.

Takes a little practice
After using too much weed killer for lawns, I ended up with patches of dead grass the color of straw. The dead spots were mostly devoid of grass and pulled focus.. i needed my grass to be green in time for a neighborhood special event and an influx of visitors. I researched several brands of grass paint and decided on this one. None seemed a clear choice based on reviews. I read and followed the directions. I watched videos on YouTube. I said prayers to not let me duck it up. As suggested, I used a battery powered sprayer to apply the product. A hand pump would be impractical. It takes a little practice to get it right. You will need to fine tune the sprayer to dispense the right amount of product. Yiull need to practice in order to find the best angle to hold sprayer nozzle, the correct distance from the grass and the correct amount of time making each pass. If the nozzle moves too slow, is too close or angled poorly too much paint will dispense and create an unnatural vivid green spot. It also takes practice to understand the best technique apllyimg to dead spots vs grass that’s just not green.Hot tips: Practice in the backyard first. More practice means getting a more natural appearance. More practice means more paint consumption. Consider buying an extra bottle. I was confident I could do it with one bottle only to order a second. Don’t apply if it’s dewy at night. Best applied when it’s sunny and 72 outside. Don’t apply if it’s breezy. Use cardboard strips weighted down w bricks or a drop cloth to protect from overspray. Don’t apply too much at once. Achieve desired shade of green with several lighter coats. Read and follow directions on bottle. They are helpful, true and accurate. Once the dead spots were green it looked very uneven and obviously artificial. It required more paint than expected to blend everything together. Wear vinyl gloves. Clean sprayer after use so it can be used again. I ended up with some overspray on myself and on parts of sidewalk & curb. I easily cleaned up with soap, water and a scrub brush. The overspray on cement cleaned up w a pass of the pressure washer, but not with soap and scrub brush. The overspray on the house came off with 409 and a scrub brush.Neighbors gave thumbs up and I received many compliments about how green and gorgeous my lawn looked. That was satisfying and made the effort worth it. The grass still looked good for about 4 weeks and thru several mowings. I may paint it again based on the positive feedback. I’ve pondered turning off the irrigation, letting it die and keeping it green with the paint.

Keeps the HOA off my back and saves water.
My yard was completely AZ tan before I sprayed. Now it's a lush NW green. A must have in AZ when the grass dies off by mid July. This will last until the heat let's up again. No matter what I do even if I water 3 times a day it dies so I'll just save some water for a couple months and by October it will start growing through again. I used one bottle for this size lawn, went over it twice, I could have don't a bit of a better job but it'll pass. Neighbors love it too and wanted to know what I used, even sent a link to my landscaper when he asked, he said he was going to use it on his back yard lol. I suspect we'll all have the same color grass soon. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to reduce their water usage in the summer or avoid the HOA. Lol

Great faux green grass
It has greener color depending on dilution. Lasted about 3 months. Well worth the cost .

Looks good but not for 2 -3 month, as claimed.
My mom was coming to visit and I wanted to spruce up our yard a bit before her arrival. This lawn paint was a simple enough fix, I thought. While it did do the job for the week my mom was here, it was already pretty faded within 2 - 3 weeks of application, and we don't really even get rain where I live in California! It's only been a month and a couple of days now and it's faded pretty light, though I guess you can still see a touch of green on the dead grass.Another issue was... wow, it was gloppy. Don't judge but, I was mixing some of the paint with water in a separate container and 'blending' it with my coffee frother before adding it to the sprayer with the rest of the water. If I hadn't done that, it'd have never worked to spray smoothly onto the lawn.I might use this again in a pinch but, I'd probably look for another brand... though I did like the color on this one better than I did the previous brand I tried. Hoping to find the right option one day!

Will buy again
I live in an HOA that highly scrutinizes everyone’s yards. We go through droughts and super hot days in the south so it takes a lot of work to keep the grass green 365 days of the year. I purchased this before hiring a lawn care company or having an irrigation system installed. Just mixed it with water in a pump sprayer and sprayed the dead areas. It blended perfectly and looked very natural.I was able to wash off the overspray on concrete with water easily. It does fade after a week or 2 and is not permanent but definitely gets us by until we get more rain.
