Good product! You can test all types of batteries from 1.5V to 9V, as listed in the ad. It doesn't tell the voltage but tells you qualitatively if it's bad, weak or good. It does not have its own battery but uses the voltage from the battery itself to be tested. I had one without the ability to test the 9V batteries, so bought this one. It's reasonably priced and robust.

These chargers are the best thing since sliced bread. I have one in my office in the front of my house and one in the back by my batteries. So helpful to be able to check the battery first to make sure what’s wrong with the product. Works great every time.

I had one, used it for years, dropped it and thought I would not be able to find a replacement. I use a variety of batteries and found this inexpensive, accurate, and compatible with all the batteries I use. Small, easy to carry, easy to use.

I ordered a set of two battery checkers. One did not work, the other did. Because the price was good, we decided to troubleshoot the nonworking item ourselves. As he is mechanically inclined and a smart guy in general, my husband was able to fix it using his soldering equipment. I use the battery checkers in my volunteer work at a thrift store and find them extremely useful and very easy to operate. I only gave 3 stars because of the obvious lack of quality control at the factory.
