The media could not be loaded. I bought a new riding mower and wanted to be sure I didn’t catch the mower blades on some protruding tree roots in my yard and cause mower damage.A chain saw was out because the roots are buried in dirt and chainsaw blades and dirt will ruin the saw blade fast. I also didn’t want to cut the roots out and damage the tree.I tried a reciprocating saw but it was slow work.The flat disk in this set flattened out the 6 protruding roots I had in short order. I can now run my new mower over the root with no worry about machine damage and I avoid over cutting the tree roots.I have not used the cupped blade yet but I know it was act exactly like the flat blade - cut fast and smooth. Definitely with the $ for me!

UPDATE 06/10/2023: This is not a major issue but, it's worth mentioning that they tend to load up with wood chips quick and, at least in my experience, require a very thin metal pick to remove them as compressed air will not. They still perform as advertised and I'm still pleased with my purchase.I'm replacing three wooden, 6" x 6" posts on my front porch and wanted to add a distressed look to the new PT posts. Practicing on an older 6" x 6" I was able to recreate some of the imperfections seen in antiquated lumber. The grooves in the pictures were done with the curved cutter.Their effectiveness depends on the amount of control and pressure you apply to the grinder. I used the minimum to create the grooves in my project. I found the curved cutter was better suited for what I was trying to accomplish but, the flat cutter worked equally well at removing material.From my experience, if you're planning to purchase them is to take precautions as they do remove a lot of material creating a major amount of fine dust, much more than any other woodworking machine than I've ever used. I highly recommend that they be used outdoors using a full-face shield or enclosed safety glasses and a respirator or at least a good dust mask.

Made quick work of leveling out roots. The only problem is what few teeth have broken or bent from just using it about 20 minutes off and on. Still works great just concerned why only a few teeth here and there got bent.

Good value for the money spent. Easy to use. Fit was perfect. Finally got rid of that little tree root I have been tripping on for a while. I did find after grinding down that tree root that it started to dull pretty quick but I cleaned the individual teeth crevices with a wire brush and it was like new again.

The tools okay there's better ones out there

I recently had a huge maple tree chopped down, and the stump ground. With all the wood chips flying around, he missed a few outlying roots. I tried a few other tools I had on hand, but nothing worked. Saw this, ordered 2, and gave it a try. It was perfect for my needs. A few caveats. I paired it with a Dewalt drill, and it went through batteries very fast, have spares handy. Also, make sure whatever you're carving on is dry as possible. It will clog up the wetter it is. I had to stop occasionally and take a wire brush to it to get it unclogged. But, it stays sharp and looks like it will last quite a while. Very good for the price point!

Word very well

I use this to powder palo santo wood for incense. It works great.
