FANTASTIC!
I bought this pressure cooker after watching the pitch for the "Instant Pot" advertised on TV, but I didn't want to pay their high price, so I did some research on Amazon and found this Cosori cooker instead. It seems to be almost identical to its competition, but I believe the Cosori is a better deal. It comes with a little rack, a lid to cover the removable pot so you can keep food warm with the lid on at table or in the pot on "warm" to keep your food at an even temp. It also comes with two plastic "tools;" one is a rice paddle and the other is a small ladle, really cute and a welcome addition. An extra gasket is also included to replace the old one if/when it wears out. I've used the pot twice now in one week. I first used it on New Year's day to make my traditional hoppin John and trotters, but Giant had only two packs of some piddling looking trotters, so I passed and got the pig tails instead. I think I might have made a better choice because the tails have much more meat on them than the trotters, which are mostly fat; however, the sight of the pig tails was alarming. I always thought pigs had short, thin, curly tails. The ones I bought were humungous and looked like white penises. I don't mean to be vulgar, but I got quite squeamish and traumatized taking a cleaver to those '"peters" to cut them in half so they would fit in the pot. The pressure cooker performed perfectly. Forty minutes later, I had the perfect African American New Year's meal, and as they say: Lawdamercy, I put my foot in those suckers! Make you wanna slap ya mama!I wasn't done. Yesterday I went back to Giant to get some decent trotters. Thank goodness they had some that looked more respectable and like they were donated by a healthy sized hog. So I did them up this morning with trinity, minced garlic, bay leaf, season salt, red pepper flakes, some Worcestershire sauce and added some low sodium chicken stock to the pot and set the cooker on "meat" for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, I let the steam reduce on its own, opened the pot and added the dried black eyed peas and set the cooker for another 20 minutes, which would make the total time to cook the entire meal 40 minutes. I cooked my brown rice traditionally on the stove. Had I not had the pressure cooker, it would have taken me anywhere from 3 to 6 hours to cook the peas and trotters. Okay, so I've given you my killer recipe for trotters and hoppin john, but I got so carried away, I didn't give a thorough review of the cooker. IT'S THE S++T! I truly love it. It is compact so it doesn't take up all your counter space. It's simple to operate, easy to clean and cooks exactly as it is supposed to. It's made very well, and it came packaged in two boxes. One an outer shipping box and the interior box was the one the cooker was packaged in by the manufacturer. Another good factor is that it is less expensive than its popular competition Instant Pot, had more accessories, and comes with the same warranty as the other I believe. The only problem I had was due to my own ditsyness. I couldn't figure out how to remove the lid from the pot. I had to go to YouTube to watch a video of a man unboxing his and how everything worked. Once I figured out how to remove it, it was simple. Made me feel like an imbecile after I figured it out though. So all in all, I would highly recommend this lil cooker. I got mine for less than $60 because I had reward points, which reduced my price to $45.00. I consider that a darn good deal. I almost gave the cooker away as a Christmas gift, but after I opened the box, examined all the parts and watched the demo videos, I decided, "Oh, hell no! I'm keeping this billy!" I suggest you do the very same, but if you're feeling generous, go ahead and buy one for a good, deserving friend or relative. If they can cook, they'll love it. Nuff said...

Love the hinged lid and pressure release button
I already have a bigger electric pressure cooker but wanted a smaller one as well and bought the cosori 2 quart. The size was important but I chose this cosori one because of the hinged lid and the button to release the pressure. The hinged lid is great as you can open and check and if it’s not ready just close it. If the food is done the lid doesn’t need to be moved somewhere ( great for small work areas ) and you avoid lifting a heavy dripping lid. In the open hinged position condensation from cooking didn’t drip on the counter, it was contained in the lid.The lid slips in and out of the hinge easily and safely so when you are ready ( after removing your food / when the lid has cooled ) you can easily remove it to wash.If your work area is small height wise keep in mind you need to allow for the height of the opened lid.I also like the button that is away from the pressure release valve ( safe!) to quick release the pressure if you want to.The inner non stick pot worked well and washes well in the dishwasher. I also ordered a stainless steel inner pot. It’s a good value and convenient that it comes with a glass lid and an extra silicone ring which other pressure cookers don’t.One thing I didn’t like was the strong chemical smell coming from the inner pot and lid. I put the inner pot through the dishwasher and hand washed the lid with soapy water but the smell lingered. I left the lid off, silicone ring side up for a few days and that was the end of the chemical smell. I did not have this issue with my larger instant pot and it’s why I have taken off one star.Overall very satisfied

You have to put enough food in the insert for it to rest solidly on the heating element or the heat doesn't work properly..
I may alter my review after I've used this pot more. I don't like that the inner pot must hold enough ingredient weight for the pot to heat properly. In trying to saute onions there wasn't enough weight to make the pot rest solidly in the bottom of the pot to press the pot down to activate the heating mechanism properly. I had to put a weight in the bottom of the insert to get the chopped onions to brown. I may return this pot if after several uses if this problem can't be resolved.
