This is not keychain size. The size of this is almost 5 (Five) inches long. The sound is loud, as people two stories above heard it. Considered this to be used while walking to car, walking a dog, just on a jog. It might be just too large to handle with a dog and too large to be discreetly activated. This would be very easy to locate in one’s bag while walking to car, but not able to activate With one hand while in a pocket. Even walking alone, this requires an entire hand to hold it. Seemingly, if you can use the attached cord which is 12-14” long... it could fit on one’s shoulder or forearm and I guess you could just cross your arms and discreetly pull the strap. Replacing the pin (strap is attached to it) stops the alarm, but this would not be easy to do without light. Speaking of which, if you press the orange button, a flashlight is activated. It shuts off unless you continue to press. It would be nice if the flashlight would remain on with a long press. Again, this is rather large but maybe the size contributes to the volume.

I used this back when I used to walk back and forth from a parking garage and my school building at night, so I kept it in my backpack during the day and then held it in my hand at night. Within a few months it started just going off if I wasn't holding the button down (while I was walking back from school), but because you need a screwdriver to get the battery out I had to keep a grip on it the whole way home because there was no other way to keep it from going off.I understand it's not super high quality, but I kept it in an outside pocket and it still basically fell apart.

I tested one out so far and it sounds pretty loud to me. And the flashlight did sort of blind me. So I think it's a prey nice gadget. It feels sturdy in my hand and the string don't seem like it's gonna accidentally get pulled out the socket either.

This product is unacceptable. Jostling of the activation pin caused the device to sound. Maybe it was just bad manufacture of the individual device that was shipped to me. I cannot tell you if other specimens of the device have the same problem.

Great value

The internal components are very cheap. I couldn’t get the alarm to stop after pulling the battery shipping strip. Useless product. I’d rather pay a lot more and have something reliable that works.

Loud-- Portable for travel-- Good defense.
